Seen most of the traders going with a normal range instead of lower or higher leverage. What leverage you use as a trader and why?

1:100 to 1500 is leverages I have been using and good profits in return, some broker will limit it with very big balance.

I generally use 1:20 and sometimes go to 1:50. Higher leverage seems lucrative but from my experience they just work against you.

Totally agree with you. I use 1_100. Anything above just seems too risky for my strategy.
Have a good trading day!

I usually use 1: 500 leverage. And I always suggest a beginner trader use this leverage.

It's a bad ideal to tell beginner to use that, only pros should.

Forex or any other trading for that matter can only benefit when you’ve got complete control over your emotions. I believe with higher leverage you let emotions take over you. Isn’t trading all about minimizing risk? So why use higher leverage in the first place?! My suggestion would be to go for lower or intermediate leverage and don't fall in the trap of higher leverages.

For a new trader my advice would be to use lower leverages. Or if you really want to get a hand on higher leverage then try with small deposit amounts. Open an account with a broker that has a very low minimum balance requirement like Degiro, no min balance required, or Fxview (Euro 5). This will give you confidence for switching on to higher amounts with higher leverages.

No, leverage is something that all brokers provide and an option provided by the broker to its client for free. Some brokers provide leverages of 1:200, 1:300 and some even up to upto 1:500 as well.

If you have stop loss intact and know how to manage risk, I don't think using 1:500 would be any problem.

I agree! Haven’t used 500x leverage though, but even the 200 that I use has given me excellent returns on USDJPY. Normally I use my accounts with ic markets, cause high leverage coupled with low spreads can be the best deal for any trader.

leverage is an important financial tool which an investor should consider when choosing a broker. i always trade with low leverage to avoid unfortunate risk and losses.

I also use high leverage with USDCAD, AUDUSD (though this was worst) on my three different accounts with InstaForex, Fxview and ICM. Prefer USDCAD as a major currency pair for its comparatively low volatility.
