All right, i'm back in the game.

a real quick short before the retail sales, but i should have had a sell limit order in at tp. might just have to save that for the nfp tomorrow.

have a great day all

hi, alienek, the charts not as complicated as you think, once you start to break it down, but yeah there is a lot of information on there!

the vertical dotted blue lines are my previous trades and next to them is an arrow giving direction,
the horisontal red and purple lines are daily pivot points, ]
the diaganal white lines are trend channels
the yellow diagonal lines are a simple zig zag, and the smaller red line is part of the zup indicator.
the yellow numbers are from zup and are simply fib numbers with dotted blue lines.
then just for good measure i have bollingerbands.

in the lower window is a stoch and an RSI set to 4.

because i am only looking for 25pips i'm using the same setup on lower time frames, which is why the 1h chart isn't generating the signals that i'm trading this account from.

Its just a case of balancing information and ability to process it, you could have 30 indicators and only pull the trigger when all of them confirm, but you would only take 1 trade a year! If you only have one indicator you will get a lot of false signals. I wait until i get a 4 indicator confirmation and only then i pull the trigger.

Where in Indonesia are you? i'm in Bali at the moment...

Brilliant. And great explanation of the indocators that you use and things.

Any particular reason why you only concentrate on AUDUSD ?

hi daCoops,

because i'm starting with only $25 it limits the pairs i can open, for example with 500:1 leverage GBPUSD costs about $32.94 and gives back $1 per pip, obviously i cant afford to open a single position.

the NZDJPY however costs 15.7 and gives back $1.25per pip. so its cheaper to open and can make you more money, the catch is that volitility is not great, so for this challenge i needed a balance between cheap and good volatility, which the AUDUSD has.

As i trade the AUDUSD for real i all ready have a sense of whats going on with the pair, and dont have to do any extra homework on a new country, which makes life a little easier! lol

hope this helped...

I've just completed my trade analysis for last week. and i know where i F#%$ed up. its not the indicators giving fake signals its the human reading them wrong. the two mistakes i made last week cost just under 6400. i've made the corrections to my mind set and am ready for the week ahead.

Let there be no more mistakes...

If there were 'errors in the human factor' then can't you take the human factor out of the trading and automate this instead?? Shouldn't take too long to create an EA based on your indicators and strategy and then set the TP and Lot Sizing etc...

Hey, I wouldn't even know where to begin with how to write down the rules! let alone code it, part of my system is in my head! the discretion and experience of the trader is still needed to evaluate the setup, and i use multiple charts for confirmation, which i understand would be difficult to code?

but maybe thats not a bad idea. do you know anyone who in could talk to about coding it?

Yeah - me!

I'm not the greatest EA coder, but I've coded a few.

If you can take the time to try and detail the strategy and decisions and indicators you use and where I can get them from, then I will take the time to code it up. Just PM me...

Hi Psy, and daCoops,
I also coded an EA and got it to do what i wanted. I can help if you want to make a collective public effort.
Multiple charts won't be diffcult.
If you are looking at indicators custom or default, that should also be easy. (or any indicator that gives a numeric value)
Zup indicator might be the biggest challenge (I have actually never used that indicator before)
Any personal subjective inputs will be very difficult to code.
But once we know all the strategy behind your trading, maybe it is possible to come with a few semi automatic EA, that will do the boring waiting stuff, once you have manually identify the trend direction. (such as a sell only / buy only EA)

Since there is no complicate trade management (exit rules), i see this as a fairly easy EA to code.

Even if we fail, we can develop most of it and pay for a programmer to finish it (that is a very cheap option).
regards,
Horacio

Hey Guys, That sounds amazing.

I've started to write down every single rule that i can think of for this system, as soon as its done i'll pm both of you and send you what i have, unfortunately I've never even thought about having a system coded, so your going to have to treat me like a 3rd grader and layout what you need from me in real simple terms 😳, what i can do is show past trades, highlight the indicator signals and my thinking behind each trade?

i've attached the indicators that i use, i'm sure that there are better versions out there and i'm always looking for them, but these are what i'm using now...

The zup is a little complicated to set up, this version has about 25 inputs, there are some out there that have closer to 100, but they include gartley patterns...

thanks for taking the time guys, it would be truly awesome to get something going?

have a good day

Psy,
Great. Looking forward to start working with this. I will start by trying to replicate the setups on the charts you already posted.
Here is my first question: what settings are you using on the indicators? (if an indicator has a lot of modified inputs, just save a .set file and send it to us)
Regarding the description of your trading, it will be helpfull if you can describe it as a sequence of steps and conditions, but don't worry too much, we will figure it out.

daCoops,
hope you like the idea of working together

PS. Psymon, you'll still have to keep trying to get your perfect 10 trades. 😀

Instead of saving the set file I think that if you can save the meyatrader profile then it should capture all chart tomeframes and indicator settings all in one go. That will be much better I think.
