Hi FxPapa,

I experienced a similar problem to rgmann's. Your account showed 3 trades opened and closed today. Mine only showed one.

I am glad to see that you are checking out the problem.

Hi

Thanks for your notice. It's working fine now.

Hi, the only trading strategies I've seen with equity curves like FxPapa are grid-trading systems. They win most of the time (85-95%) but have occasional huge floating drawdowns (like the one on Feb 6-8), and without protection eventually hit their unlucky streak which crashes the account. You obviously aren't martingale (double-down on losing positions), which is good. Without giving away proprietary specifics, can you give us some assurance that the system will truly stand the test of time? GridMeUp had a great run for about a year, with a very similar equity curve (it floated about -5000 pips I believe during a big DD), and then completely crashed about a month ago - but that was because its failsafe, a claimed 40% loss stop out, to close all trades and wait to restart new grid, did not work right. You have a setting like this, too, to protect from a crash, but we have yet to see it take the loss and resume building.

Hi

FxPapa has equity stop loss level. It opens up to 3 position at the same time.

Please notice that no one can guarantee the future in this market but we try our best to keep the EA on success.

FxPapa,

Within the past hour or two, the third and fourth lines of the EA display:
'Successfully connected to the FxPapa Server.
Account Number verified.'
has disappeared from the EURUSD 1H chart.

I have tried removing the EA from the chart and re-installing it, but the missing lines have not re-appeared. I have also shut down and re-started the MT4 platform with no different results.

This lack of confirmation of a successful connection to your server is of great concern because currently there is a GBPUSD order open.

FxPapa,

An update of my post above:

Not wanting to go to bed with my EA/copier unconnected to your server AND having an order open, I closed the GBPUSD order (fortunately in profit).

You can imagine my surprise when, immediately after closing the order, the missing display lines re-appeared on the EURUSD 1H chart.

Is there a bug in your software that prevents the third and fourth display lines from showing when a GBPUSD order is open?

Hi

That's OK. When there is an open position the EA doesn't need account number verification. When the EA closes the position you will see the verification message again.

Hi FxPapa,

Does that mean that the signal from your server is only needed to open the trade, but the EA on our computer manages the trade and closes it? Or does it need a signal from your server to close the trade too? Thanks...

Hi

You are right, The EA manage the orders independently from our server but there is also an emergency exit which is done by our server.

In both cases the EA doesn't need account number verification.

Hi

I have been running FxPapa real $2500 deposit for about 1 month now on GoMarkets and all is going well so far.

Coming close to 20% for the past month, which I think could be even a slow month going by past results on this other live.

I am using a VPS here in Australia and GoMarkets.

Keep up the good work!

Hi

Currently you need an stable VPS because the EA should be always online.

Hello FxPapa,

Today the problem seems a bit more serious.

The EA closed a trade with 57.7 pips loss. Your account seems to have this position still open along with another position I don't have, which may come to compensate the loss of the previous one.

With both positions open, you may be able to close them in profit. Instead, in my account I just took a loss of 58 pips, which will probably take more than a week, maybe two, to recover.

This is not right!

So, if there's currently a 'problem' with the new version of the EA, should we shut it down for the time being until it's fixed? Also, what's the time frame for getting it fixed?

fxpapa, why dont u give your ea to your buyers. Because u can see that everybody is facing 'different trade problems'.
somebody got stop loss yesterday. Its not good. Change ur policy in which u said that we dont want to share our strategy.

ur strategy is not going to make anybody millionaire in one day. And remember that you will not have to share ur strategy, you will have to share ur EA. Because everybody is facing problems in ur signal copier ea. Its giving unnecessary stop losses which is not fair.

u wrote on ur website that u r selling automated ea but after buy u give signal copier ea.
so we request you that give automated real ea to ur buyers so that we can use it properly.
hope u can understand.
