RTP may be into a down cycle. This is normal as no system has 100% wins. It may be wise to scale back on lot sizes till the next dip then readjust lots into the next profitability stage. my 2 cents

Glad to see I am not the only one... I was refraining from making any negative comments, but as others have also had some poor performance recently I concur.

Nice to know the 'official account' on RTP website is also suffering a bad patch.

This is off-topic, but has anyone else received Doug Price's new promotion email (I noticed Drew has):

This is one of those opportunities that if you miss it
you will be kicking yourself in the ass later.

Not only is this new Forex system doing amazing as in
over 95% win rate, the commissions are insane!

And yes that win rate is proven to the customers with live
proof. And it actually works for them.

So make your customers happy... collect up to and over $400
per sale, and it's a win win.

EPCs are through the roof, check this out:

RTP will be fine. The market just moved in a way that didn't work with the dynamics today to keep the trades open long enough. I am exploring improvements to the settings and will release them when done. But this is just a down period, it's happened before in this EAs history and it will get back on the up trend soon enough.

Suggest to disable the EA during the downside?
Otherwise the account capital may reach a big dd before next up cycle. According to current risk management, it is not possible to recover trade capital within several months if the dd is big.

You should consider buying Vortex Trader Pro.....I did just a few days ago and had 6 trades all profitable. I feel confident in the system because only a crazy person would suggest such high lot sizes. It should cover my losses from RTP.

My observation is that VTP seems to trade GBPUSD and EURUSD during the Asian session when the market is ranging with little volatility. I remember I had an EA about 7 years ago (forgot the name) that did the same and it just kept churning out profit. Well, ODL Securities who was my broker back then, shut my account down! Apparently because EURUSD and GBPUSD is "closed" during the Asian Session so my response to the Compliance Officer I spoke with was that its a 24/5 market and I can trade whatever the F I want, when I want! It seems they were a market maker and hence didnt like us all profiting with that EA. Now we're in 2015 and I think it really is a case of trade what you want, when you want and there are really becoming less and less dealing desks to contend with as they are all becoming ECN or STP brokers.

Anyway - what I'm saying is I think this one might just continue to be profitable unless the Asian continent decide to perk up and start buying and selling EURUSD and GBPUSD which I can't see a reason why they'd do that....

I oberved the losses on VTP and they appear to have occured during the London or NYC session. I am unsure of whether the settings were refinded AFTER the losses but anyway - a win is a win. The duration of the trades appears to be lower than RTP.

For those saying RTP doesn't work, I think it still does. Perhaps the TP settings need revised during this market or the high low indicator settings need a fiddle because it seems what happens is we enter the trades when all three indicators line up including the High/Low but if we made the high or low a bit further out we might see less drawdown...not sure...I'm throwing things out there, I'm not experienced enough to make changes to settings.

Give VTP some thought - I'm one of these people that dives in and buys any old EA but this one I think is going to work out.....although you know what they say "Past performance doesn't indicate future performance"!

Best of luck

Yes, but totally different EAs. RTP is more like a 'swing trader' with positions held longer, whereas VTP is more like a 'scalper' (though the VTP website says it is NOT a scalper).

Doug Price promotes both now.

I just got the email for the 2.6 upgrade. I have no problems with 2.5. I'm sure the strategy is possibly on a down cycle. Unfortunately, those who just purchased the EA within the past couple months came in at a bad time so they're getting discouraged. Nonetheless I appreciate the effort by the publisher

before we bought REV EA, there are also similar positive comment on it. but once we bought for the live account, continuously lose. the vendor should put more effort to optimize the EA based on the different market conditions, not jump to market the new EA when many clients are suffering the lost of REV EA. who know the EA will not perform well again before you recover the cost this EA?

waiting for the recover from downside? how long is this cycle?

Well if you were to calculate past RTP downside cycles your probably looking at 1% to 3% drop from current levels. we're currently at .9% decline. definitely room for more...but hey....im not a professional currency analyst so....

What is the new set in ver 2.6? Do you think the new sets will improve the downside cycles? I personally feel that it will only reduce the drop of percentage in our trading account but hardly make profit :D

I did a deep analysis and found that recent trades would have been profitable with these settings overall. And i also make sure they would have been profitable historically, which they are.

Even if the new setfiles mitigate the losses to a minimum its still a positive.. for all we know we can see a burst to the upside. In my opinion if I was the publisher I wouldn't be so quick to appease all the people that complain here. I would let the history speak for itself.

If anyone can do better let them get up at 2am in the morning and manually trade and pray you can catch a few pips before you have to get up for work at 6am. This is the currency market. YOU MUST TAKE LOSSES.

I do have one long GBP locked in profit which opened over the weekend. A good parabolic gap up at market opening would be great!
