(RTTNews) - While reporting financial results for the fourth quarter on Thursday, utility PG&E Corp. (PCG) trimmed its earnings guidance for the full-year 2023, while reaffirming core earnings outlook.
For fiscal 2023, the company now expects earnings in a range of $0.98 to $1.13 per share and core earnings in a range of $1.19 to $1.23 per share.
Previously, the company expected earnings in the range of $0.98 to $1.21 per share and core earnings in the range of $1.19 to $1.23 per share.
On average, 13 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $1.22 per share for the year. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

U.S. Jobless Claims Rise More Than Expected To 235,000
First-time claims for U.S. unemployment benefits rose by much more than expected in the week ended August 16th, according to a repot released by the Labor Department on Thursday. The report said initial jobless claims climbed to 235,000, an increase of 11,000 from the previous week's unrevised level of 224,000. Economists had expected jobless claims to inch up to 225,000.
