Yen Falls Ahead Of Japan Consumer Confidence Index

(RTTNews) - The Cabinet office is slated to release the Japan consumer confidence index for March at 1:00 am ET Monday. The index is seen at 31.9, compared to 31.1 in February.

Ahead of the data, the yen fell against its major rivals.

As of 12:55 am ET, the yen was trading at 144.62 against the euro, 164.63 against the pound, 146.43 against the Swiss franc and 132.69 against the U.S. dollar.
