I create a new Strategy....

Im building a EA that trades both directions at the same time and has a much larger take take profit than the loss. Has a trailing TP to maximize the gains. Doing well on a small scale. Perhaps you could do this and make bigger gains.Garry

I agree with you OnTheEdge,In fact, the drawdown/target return ratio is only an idea of what investos should expect. It is just like the sharpe index.I am thinking of having three different products. Backtesting is the first step in creating a good ea but as Splexin said you need to test it on a larger timeframe. Once that is done you will want to forward test it on a demo account. If that works then move to a live account to test.

Yeah good resource. But as I said, spreads are indicative but not definitive. Until you put an order you never know where the fill would be. And slippage adds to costs, effectively increasing spread. By the way, thanks for pointing to the LMAX, looks awesome I am going to trial it after festivities.
