hi sliffy,
all settings are default (except for lot size). It's running on a VPS so I'm not sure why its acting like this. I have restarted twice now and left it for a week after each.
Got it running again today, made two sell trades, both losses, but at least it closed it down in time!

I went live with FGB on Monday and didn't have any trades until today. I had one entry at 1.3875 which was stopped out at 1.3995 and another entry at 1.3870 which did not close even though it did go 150 pips down at one point. I am using 5/64/1.9 setting on Alpari UK on a VPS. MT4 has not been restarted since the trades were opened but it does sound like it has lost control of the trades.
I contacted support about the problem of FGB losing control of my trade today on Alpari UK and this was their response:
"Our EA does not work very well with Alpari broker, we recommend
http://www.thinkforex.com/landing/fgb"
That was it. No other explanation as to why it doesn't work very well. Surely it can't be the case that the only broker that works with FGB is thinkforex, I didn't see that in the instruction manual!
I am not very impressed with their response to say the least!
I wanted to post this here to warn people to be careful when using this EA.

Thanks for the advice DMFXTrader.
The support guy form FGB posted it on a previous post.
This Disussion board is full of good advices and tricks related to this EA. It is a little tricky but profitable. I use it on my IBFX AU accounts and really works! (my last VPS didn't work! :( )
Read since the first post until the last and you will learn a lot of how to make it work.
Happy Trading!

Thanks for the advice Edgar. I guess a big improvement to FGB would be to display which trades it is currently tracking visually on the chart. This may give a little more reassurance that it knows about all of the trades that it should do!
As it happens I am currently opening an account with ThinkForex as it does seem better than Alpari and has an ecn feed. I am still not happy with the lack of explanation why trades are mislaid by FGB though!

Hi Kishore
I have a live account on Alpari uk: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/Succe55/forex-growth-bot/75835
Happy trading :)
From looking at the historic trades on Grahams live Alpari account it looks like FGB has also lost control of one of his trades judging by the 145 pip loser!

I have had problems with closing trades, the EA does not even try (as seen on Expert and Journal tab in Mt4). I have run it on Alpari UK account, but now it's shut down after missing closing of too many trades.
I will now switch to thinkforex as recommended by Eugene.

Not only, it is a recommend from fgb. Then they use thinkforex.
I use active trades and iamfx and i have no problems.
I think on the most broker the problem is the Re-Quotes, It's just a thought.
I think you are probably right about the requotes as thinkforex won't requote at all (I don't think!) as they are an ecn broker. However, FGB should be able to handle a requote and submit the close command again I would have thought!

It's a poorly coded ea. That is the issue plain and simple. The order execution part is a mess. They have loops that will cause stuff to never get executed properly. That is why many are having issues with orders not being closed.
The developers need to write better order execution code that will work on all brokers reliably and not just theirs. If they don't know how to they should just copy from one of many other ea's that don't have this problem.

forexgrowthbot,
what do you think about Jayman007's comment?

From what I can see, my installation of the EA does not even try to close the trades who was "lost". Other trades it has performed ok, but these other ones aren't even showing up as attempts to close.

what FGB care is to sell more products...not update the basic EA...
they been busy to create something to sell...
not to solve all problems arise with their customer, whose only bought basic EA...those who upgrade get more attention...
you can find it in member page...
but what about customer whose only bought the basic??like me?we all just be on the other side...see how great this FGB performs...

Yeap, can confirm that there is an issue on coding the order functions. Should be a quick fix.
Sure Jayman or me can support if required.
Cheers
