Serious question here for Doug (if he's looking) and the forum in general.
Why would anyone opt for VTP over RTP when RTP produces 2.5 times the profit in 64% of the time?
Doing the math RTP is 3.9 times as efficient with negligible difference in risk.

has not traded since 13th Feb. My WSR has only traded once in this time also but $800 is pretty steep

I dont see how having a win rate over90% is attainable for a long peroid. I guess if you only going for small amount of pips. No one really cares though I guess either.
Don't pay too much attention to win rate which is calculated based on the trade quantity rather quality. Sometimes only one lost trade will send your account to sky

So for those of you who are frustrated at lack of trades - ie; zero trades since Feb 13th - better brace yourselves. For the whole of April through to August 2014 inclusive, VTP made a grand total of 3 trades. We could be in for another 5 month drought.
That said, this is the safest EA out there so I for one won't knock it. This EA only trades when the confluence of multiple signals are right. Sometimes that can mean a long wait. This is a long term patience play.
Nonetheless, the EA pulled a net 511 pips over 2014. The only 3 stop losses over the life of the EA occurred Jan and Feb of 2014, so the net 511 pips is still after a 330 pip loss after the SL's.
Interestingly, 2015 is YTD +386 pips, two thirds whole of 2014.
This seems like a good EA. Understatement?
Good luck to all.

But too big a pricetag for such a waiting game, hell, I got one from my StrategyQuant that has done 2 trades per month on average over last 12yrs forexite backdata that has taken 1K to nearly 1M w/23% dd ......and its only $27 via camforex.com (a low budget go nowhere site/biz) ("Bonzai EA"), we figured most aren't paying more for EAs that have "no trading frequency activity". So heck, if you want long term patterns at low frequency, there it is at bottom barrel price! Lol.......so I post this because I'm surprised to hear of such low frequency trading going for such a hefty pricetag, don't know what to think of it, big surprise! Well, maybe my post along with me will get booted now :( Lol. Oh well.

Anyone interested, I ran a back test on GBPUSD from Jan 2013 to Feb 2015 on Dukascopy data over the weekend with fairly low risk (0.5 lot size). Here is the result:

Interestingly hit maximum draw down in the first 5 trades, and still produces some respectable results overall.
Thanks for sharing the results!!! VTP is great :D
Back testing doesn't match with the real performance???? why???

am testing this on AUDUSD, looks promising also.
As I see this EA trades on the basis of the night scalping. AUD, NZD & JPY currency pairs are not suitable for such strategy. I think as an extra pair better try USDCAD.
