Hi!
I'm not sure if this is the proper area to place this topic.
I just want to ask, is there an option, or a program or anything that I could use with my MT4, where in when there's no open orders (all orders are close) it would notify me? Maybe thru email or whatever as long as I can get notified. Any suggestions or work around would do, besides constantly checking my MT4 app thru the phone.
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
Yes you place your Metaquote ID into the terminal. To get your Metaquotes ID, open MT4 on your iPhone and select the setting button on the bottom right. Select Chats & Messages
Your MQID is located at the bottom of the screen
From there go to MT4 on your computer, select Tool from the top menu bar, and then select Options. On the dialogue that opens, select the Notifications tab and drop your MQID into the place for it.
Selecting the next tab over you can enter your email info if that is the way you want to get your trade info.
Just be aware notifications from MT4 can be slow or even unreliable at times. I suspect something to do with the Metaquotes server but it will probably be ok for your purposes.
Good luck.

Super thank you for this,
i have another question tho.
1. i attached the EA on any chart, didnt do anything with the settings, then turns on push notification with the proper MQID. Thats correct right?
2. this EA works when there's no trade open right? do you have an EA that does the same but only when an order is closed? (not necessarily all are closed)

Hi,
1. Yes exactly. In fact with the notifications turned on, you should get a notification straight away showing the trade status, So if there are no trades you will get a 'All Trades Closed' message. If there is a trade open it will tell you that a new trade is open.
2. The EA will tell you 2 things :-
a. When you go from 1 trade(or more) to no trades at all, and;
b. when you go from no trades at all to 1 trade or more(it only reports the first trade).
You can disable the notifications that you don't want, so if you don't want to be notified of a new trade, then select 'New_Trade_Alert' to false.
I don't have an EA to report on the close of any one trade. The detection of individual trades is a far more complex algorithm than simply telling if an your order total is 0 or more than zero.
If you want individual trade notifications just select the tickbox in the notifications dialogue, as per this screenshot :

Well, some brokers offer such notification system but the most difficult task is to ind such brokers, and moreover, they must be susceptible to your requirements. As for MT4, I don't know whether it has such an option or not, however I know that if you will try to find this, probably you can find such an option. Actually, I believe that notifications play big role in trading activity, because they help you to understand what's going on the market. I would probably think about norification system which will notify you even if your're out of trading, for example, if there will be a good time to open position or not.

I think the better option is to get notifications when something interesting happens on the market, for example, high volatility or some assets were sold or bought in huge amounts. In this case traders will be able to evaluate the whole situation and make decisions. No doubts, that there are some platforms and brokers which offer such a function, however the vast majority of brokers don't have such functions. It will be really useful. It saves the time of traders and they don't need to monitor the news, expecting something. They will just get a notification and will understand that this time is for them.
