Eurozone Private Sector Expands Most In 9 Months
The euro area private sector expanded the most in nine months in August driven by strong growth in manufacturing, flash survey data from S&P Global revealed Friday. The composite output index climbed unexpectedly to 52.1 in August from 52.0 in July. The reading was seen at 51.7. Manufacturing production increased at the fastest pace in four-and-a-half years.

German Economic Sentiment Hits 6-Month High
German economic confidence rose to a six-month high in August driven by good company results and robust exports, survey results from the Mannheim-based Centre for European Economic Research, or ZEW, showed Tuesday. The ZEW indicator of economic sentiment advanced to 34.2 in August from 26.3 in July. This was the highest score since February and also better than forecast of 30.1.
