Yes, the GP account was lower risk, about 30% it seems.

No, the account was under 10 pips from a stop out on the Friday close... with an already widened spread. It was the 200+ pip gap that killed the account and sent it into negative territory.

Obviously, there was a lot of negative pips as there was a stop out, that goes without saying. The thing is other PAMMs traded by Euronis elsewhere and even the other account traded with us did not see these trades. Forex is forex, so most anything that can happen will happen. Hopefully after they find out what happened they will be able to take steps to be sure it does not happen again. We of course will help in any way we can.

It is an EA, but like all EAs a manager can make changes to parameters or manually intervene as they see fit. It seems that the PAMM that crashed had some issue. Euronis has told us they are looking into it.

We are aware of the stop out, I was just clarifying that this was a private PAMM traded by the Euronis team, and not the Euronis PAMM listed on the FXPIG MyFXBook Profile Page.

No. In fact, the Euronis account we have on our MyFXBook profile did not crash, this was another account traded by Euronis. Completely different circumstances and trades.

The manager held trades and added positions outside the permitted parameters, and before we were able to reach him there was a stop out. Subsequently, he told us that the 13% max risk was per 'day' and that trades held for multiple days could see larger losses. We did not accept this explanation and have since asked him to explain exactly what happened, however, we have only gotten very vague responses. As a result, we have disabled his access to the master account pending a full investigation into what actually did occur.

Nice to hear Vontogr.Keep it up. As you grow we have another aggregation, based on the SPA, that has some tweaks that can greatly increase the efficiency of higher frequency traders. It was developed in conjunction with a group of clients who needed some very particular order routing configurations based on a slew of different rule sets. FXPIG really is a different kind of broker. And if there is one thing we are knowledgeable in, it is liquidity management.

Understood... mistakes are sometimes the best teachers.I agree it should have been worded differently. Thank you for your honest feedback, it is appreciated.

I just wanted to personally comment here...I am ABSOLUTELY embarrassed about that typo. I am a stickler for grammar and hound my guys daily about using the correct verbiage when communicating with our clients. We all make mistakes... and I hope to not repeat that one in the future. On the deadline; we will give enough time for our clients to make a decision. I think 2 to 4 weeks is ample time, and yes, the email could have been worded a bit better, there is no doubt about that.As always, if you want to voice your opinion or simply ask us a question we are here to help.

Here are links to two different articles on Finance Feeds about the move with some more background information.http://financefeeds.com/breaking-fxpig-moves-new-zealand-vanuatu/http://financefeeds.com/why-fx-brokers-are-leaving-traditional-regulated-regions-and-going-offshore-we-speak-to-fxpig-ceo-kevin-murcko/Look guys... we don't do a THING at FXPIG unless we know it's for the better of the clients and the company.

We will be launching the cTrader platform with our new web site in < 30 days.As far as the recovery, this is just 'business as usual' for this system. Over all the forward tests we have performed and the live history there is always a DD period which pops up every 6 to 12 weeks on average and the recovery generally lasts under 4 weeks. The trick here is to decrease the amount of DD and increase the speed of the recovery.Cheers,

Given the dynamics of price action the past 15 to 30 days we have seen some larger than normal open trade draw downs, however this is not the norm. This system has been run for nearly 3 years, the 2011 forward test is visible on our member page, and we have a 2010 forward test available on another stat web site, and in that time we have only seen small pockets of time where open trade DD hits these levels. Closed trade DD has been kept below 25%.All systems have there drawn down periods, but in the end the point is scalability and profitability and this system up till now has proven to be both...

The DOOR system is NOT using Martingale rules for ticket size. Our trade sizes are constant based on the overall size of the account in USD.As our average trade duration is less than 1 hour I am not sure how we can hold onto floating drawdowns 'most of the time'.Cheers,

Just so we are clear. Is this related to our system?

That IS possible. You can have 2 trades for example; 1 with 1 lot and 1 with 50 lots. If they 1 lot trade losses 10 pips and the 50 lot trade gains 5, you are net negative in pips and net positive in equity. That being said, this happens a lot with partial fills on large tickets but I do not see such a phenomenon in our trading. We simply had an influx of deposits which offset the gain and absolute gain, not to mention the value per pip.
