I've been told this is part of a larger push to get fx traded on exchanges like the CME.

Push comes to shove. Unfortunately, US citizens lack the knowledge or the balls to stand up and create a riot when the government continues to limit our freedom. From the patriot act, to the newly enforced DoddFrank act, our freedom of choice is being taken away one step at a time. Within the last ten years, their hidden agenda has proven to be not be in the interest of the American people.

From the drop in interest rates(2001) that caused the massive appreciation and demand in real estate, investments, easy credit, to more stimulus packages to ease the distress in 2009. The direction for the US is not pretty nor stable. Social Security is Bankrupt, Government bail out for the banks/wall st, quantitative easing will devastate the Dollar , the rise in the DOW is an inverse relation to the depreciation of the USD, 500,000 jobs lost every month for over a year, and the governments answer to this mayhem is inflation to increase exports?? WTF. Our wealth is vanishing faster than we can act to save ourselves.

I've been testing several brokers that still accept US citizens. So far only 1 broker can honestly, be trusted. It is SmarttradeFx based in Canada. US citizens still accepted. I was only interested in ECN brokers with spreads on EURUSD less than 2 pips. Thank you for posting this list of brokers. I have found a few more that interest me. I will start testing more next week.

I would recommend using Dukascopy and MIG Bank for FX while they still accept US clients.

OTC FX has no future in the USA and yes, it is a catch 22 to start trading Futures on a regulated exchange. I am already learning the Futures markets and merging over myself. If possible, pack your bags and get out while you still can. By the Way, if you want to turn over your US Citizenship, you will have to PAY Uncle SAM 50% of your Assets/Wealth. (Most are not aware of this.)

I have a question. I am Canadian myself and have been trading with Oanda. I have FX Manager account there and they started writing to me whether I am going to solicit my services to US citizens and that I have to get FNA registration to do so.
Obviously I would like to do so in the future as client is a client, but as it is not possible with Oanda without being registered with FNA and I do not have much time and desire to take on 2 those examples and a number of fees associated with it. I wonder, is there any other brokers that do not require registration to trade US citizens' funds or the only solution is trading like with master code from investors own account? It would be pity as I like Oanda.

Yes, you will need the registration to trade US Clients at Oanda. However, its much less, than if you were in the US. You should be happy that your in Canada. Just go ahead and do what you have to do. Treat it like a business and not a tedious task.

I actually checked their site, but could not find any information about text books I need to read to pass those exams. I could have downloaded and started reading now gradually to be ready when I need to take those exams.

Im using SmartTradeFx and I am happy with them. Good customer service, honest reviews, good spreads, fast execution, two trading platforms. No restrictions, no requotes, and 200:1 leverage.

I've tested some other ECN brokers from the list above, Most are junk, so be aware. Thanks for sharing. I see some ones that I want to test ;-)

BTW, regarding these brokers. Does prospective FX manager still need to register to be able to trade OPM of US citizens. As I understand it is required it client transfers funds to Oanda FX Manager for example. But if trading is conducted via Limited POA from client's own account no registration is necessary, am I right?

How can ICM brokers offer leverage of 1:100, 1:200, 1:400 if they operate in the US and are therefore subject to the US CFTC 1:50 maximal leverage limit?

Every couple of years a new group collects a list of Brokers that will accept US citizens. We open an account with them then get booted to the curb when the sabers start rattling. I have been forced to close 5 accounts this way. Someone please stop this merry-go-round and let me off. The best way to not have to deal with the U.S. BS is to move out. And that is exactly what I am in the process of doing. This take over of the world governments has started a long time ago and there isn't squat that we can do about it.

Be smart and keep your head down. Forget trying to do business in the US. There is more business elsewhere with a lot less to lose. If it makes sense to move your assets to a safer area, doesn't it make as much sense to do the same for yourself?

The worst is yet to come, Cypress was a test model, 'Run Luke, Run'.

where research touches lives.

My main criterion is that they place orders directly on the market.
So I use ActivTrades (UK)
