Hi all! I've been trading for 19 years. I trade only long trends, with minimal risk. Who else trades like this?

i like long rends but now since im no longer in UNI im also trading the 4 hr trends due to more free time

some at the end of the day but some over days but not weeks

Well, of course! Trade only trends, only daily bars, use 2-3% risk per trade. Trading is very simple in essence, but very complex in execution. It all depends on the psychology of the trader. And read any literature on trading psychology, but not about trading systems.

all i know through experience is that every strategy works if you know how to utilise it properly

It depends on what your percentage profit is like, your experience, your risk management, the markets you trade and the instruments you trade. Not everyone is the same!

What if a trader adopts the false breakout strategy - this is not trend following but has success if executed with discipline! this is antithesis to your theory.

I don't really understand what you're talking about. Big money is made only by following the trend, nothing else! Everything else - the volume of transactions, markets, risks - is part of the strategy.
