More news for those who lost money when the British branch of Alpari went under. KPMG, the international audit and consulting giant that is serving as the special administrator of the bankrupt forex broker Alpari UK, announced it got a green light from the English High Court to distribute the client money held by the company. (https://smnweekly.com/2016/10/07/kpmg-ready-distribute-alpari-uk-remaining-money-clients/)

The Alpari UK clients have until October 30, 2016, 23:59 (GMT) to submit their money claims with the Joint Special Administrators Richard Heis, Samantha Rae Bewick and Edward George Boyle of KPMG LLP.

I am happy that this broker does no longer exist as I had bad impressions when dealing with them, when it comes to slippage and spreads during major market news such as the NFP. They were extremely popular in the UK, though...

Yes, they do and are still quite strong and popular in my opinion.

The Russian branch recently got a license from the Central Bank of Russia. (http://www.forexbrokerz.com/news/alpari-russian-forex-broker-license). Unfortunately the CBR didn't care, it seems, that the Western branch hasn't paid off their clients all that they owe them.

I would have thought that Alpari UK would be one of the last to shut the doors... I guess I was wrong.

Alpari UK, but not Alpari Russia... are they still in business?

Yes, Alpari UK is still in business. It continues to operate under the regulations of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, which provides a degree of security and oversight for traders. The broker offers various account types, including micro and ECN accounts, catering to both beginners and experienced traders .

However, it’s important to note that Alpari Russia, which operated independently, has faced significant challenges and regulatory scrutiny, particularly since the geopolitical changes and financial events of recent years .

If you’re considering trading with Alpari UK, it’s wise to do thorough research on their current offerings and regulatory standing.

Is Alpari UK the same Alpari as in 2015 or is it a different company using the same name?
