If everybody were profitable in Forex then where would the monie come from? It's a zero sum game. Only the fittest survives, pretty much like any other thing nowadays. Excel or die trying.

Many people asked this question that is forex really profitable? can it make you millionaire? the simple answer to all these question is yes forex is profitable but making money in forex is not that easy as you think and this is the fact which most of the traders realize after taking the experience of real trading.

Where are these people that make money on Forex. I have not seen one. There are people on this forum that claim to be but when you look at their myfxbook they are just scammers or using martingale etc.

Once you understand and embrace your losses you are a profitable trader.

Forex is profitable. Not for all, but still.
You can check the EU-regulated brokers to see how many of their clients are profitable and how many lose.
Maybe this is the only good thing, apart from the ban on Binary Options that has come from the new ESMA regulations.
For example - my broker's stats are 1/4 (25% win / 75% lose).

Finally we have the stats. According to ASIC, 63% of Forex traders lose money. That means 37% is profitable which is quite good.

Yes forex is profitable but what matters more is how much you didn't lose in this market rather than how money you make from it.

@BluePanther there's always the guy that wins in the lotto. Congratulations, you are one, at least around here. Mostly professional traders are busy working on their own stuff... And hey, these are all fully automated systems you yourself develop? Well done! 😎

Yes forex is definitely profitable but unfortunately not for everyone. there are lot of experienced traders on this forum who can share their success stories here.

Not everyone can survive profitably in forex. It is not easy. Only a handful number of people actually make it big here. They are the ones who stick it out in the long run. Most usually lose patience and give up eventually

I've no idea why anyone would bother scalping FX. Why not just trade currency futures on the CME? 100% transparent and no real 'spread' like FX or stocks.

Well, I think it depends on the situations and laws in each country, and the monitoring institutes of brokers also matters. Some can ensure that your capital will not be used in other ways and help you to prevent 'The Black Swan'. However, not every institute protects customers' right and money so much. There are many frauds and people losing money by being duped in this market. Thus, the governments need to do something to protect their own people, but sometimes the foreigners not included. So we need to recognize the institute we choose and rely on them.

Regulation is an important part of trading. If you want a good regulated broker then the options are fairly limited

Forex is not profitable. It is market. On this market traders buy and sell various assets.
Few of them are profitable, the rest is not.
Very profitable is middlemen - brokers - whose are having profit from all transactions.

Throw in the request for the broker to be and Agency-only (A.K.A STP) model and the results are even less.
There is an abundance of Market Makers everywhere.

There is nothing which is able to reduce your frustration until make sure a trading discipline as well controlling emotions. We traders feel frustrated when we lose, and only due to lacking trading discipline and because of emotions we always fall a great loss.

In my opinion, Forex is profitable and not profitable at the same time. It depends on people, discipline and strategies. During trading, we would usually become emotional, assuming the price would keep rising when it rises or it would stop falling soon when it falls. Of course, there is such possibility but not every time. It usually leads to a great loss. Because of this, we need to form our discipline to stop loss or take profit. This idea is also helpful in other investments.

Are you profitable? Can you tell me exactly what you studied and how you practiced?
