Hey Sacombe, you're right but a lot of people posting here have been using cent accounts which avoids the problem. If you had an EA with a 50% win rate and max consecutive losses less 8 or so .... you could work wonders implementing martingale ... but strategies like that are hard to come across!

What me an JT want is just a an average martingale that usually wins - we'll deposit a couple hundred at Vantage each week - most weeks it will make crazy profits ... every now and then you'll lose your money for that week. I think this is the best way to use Martingale - turn it's weakness into a strength. Of course sometimes you'll lose but who cares.

Problem is no one can seem to point us to a martingale that even works most of the time .... any ideas folks?

I dont't trade it myself. EA with many built in options for martingale strategy. Have to read the whole thread as the EA creator updates options often. I find it interesting but personally not for me. Might be something you are looking for.

I'm working on one that has a high win rate, with Auto Start and Stop features. It includes several variables to not allow an account to blow. BUT...and I will repeat, BUT I still have not found a way to limit the upside for it to stop trading before a price reversal which is the true enemy of the martingale money management strategy. My chart is private to keep the martingale haters at bay with their 'I told you so' remarks. 😄

I have high exit accuracy on the trades placed, with an occasional dip into my recovery trades. Just have not figured out when to tell the EA to stop trading before a reversal. I use RSI indicators which do pretty well most of the time.

My system is set to really low parameters and is fairing well so far. It can also make huge gains if set to higher levels but obviously risk of ruin is drastically increased. You can also look at forex warrior (I think that's what it's called) they have a standard marti that hedges as well as has open on trend parameters to give u a better chance at winning.

This one looks interesting woody! I might have a play on a Vantage demo. I'll let you know how it goes.

No not for download. Demo was on copy via signal start and about to shut that down because I'm taking it live and will reintroduce signal for live account with less aggressive settings. Hoping to get about 5-10% a month with it. Can manage it for you. PM me for details.

Nice looking results, do you have full results instead of just a screenshot?

Martingale is a lot/bet sizing system - it has nothing to do with trending/ranging markets - it can be applied to any trading strategy or game of chance.

Yep. Both those Martingales actually look pretty iffy mate - the FF one requires endless setting tweaking and that other one you were going to look at is in the market all time time - hard to trust a system like that.

A friend has given me a copy of his bot - I'll get a demo going at vantage and let you know via DM - might be able to weasle you a copy too.

Fully agree with Woody12 , if you want to blow your account just go for those martingale advisors. It’s the easiest way actually. You just lose your time hoping it wont happen to you. Been there done that.

Yeah! While you may have some success in the short run, in the long run there is no way to make a constant profit with Martingale. Not in roulette, not in sport betting and most definitely not in Forex. Its way better just to pick the right Forex broker for you (I read the reviews here: https://www.forexbrokersreviews.com/ ) and start learning how to trade using real signals, not some 'gut' feelings. 😇
