How is inconsitancies in lot sizes handled?

If fixed lots = 0.01 is used, it seems to open 1.0 lots XAUUSD
1.0 lots XAUUSD is actually 1000 Units on some brokers, not 1 Unit.

(1 unit XAUUSD is 0.01 lots for some brokers and 1.0 for others)

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I think maybe you're looking at the demo account and seeing XAUUSD being traded in one lot increments. I have a demo account and a live account, each with approximately the same amount of money. The last XAUUSD trade on the demo account traded 1.00 lots, and the live account (Pepperstone) traded 0.01 lots. I think the demo account just trades XAUUSD in 1.0 lot increments, but that doesn't mean your live account will do the same thing.

Curious to hear, are there autotrade signal providers who are maing a decent amount of commission each month?

The example calculation in the FAQ seems nice, but are there providers who are making these amounts? Even 10% of the $26.000 would be pretty good, but when all the followers accounts don't exceed $1500 it is hard to match the example calculation?

this calculation is very unrealistic. First nobody has ~250 subscribers. The highest number of followers is around 170 atm. Second 100 trades a month is a lot (The guy with the 170 followers e.g only did 20 trades in april). I would be surprised if any of the providers would be making more than $1.000 a month let alone $26.000 ;)

I've heard that Myfxbook AutoTrade is not available for US citizens. Is this true? As a US citizen, which of the AutoTrade brokers are accepting US clients? Thanks for your response.

@beren Thx for your response. It seems weird that the demo account would trade 1.0 Lots when clearly 0.01 lots is specified.
If this happens on a live account it would multiply the risk by x1000. Can someone on Myfxbook clarify this issue. Thx

Thanks for all the answers to my questions guys. Unfortunately, a US citizen indeed CANNOT use AutoTrade to trade forex. Here is the answer from Myfxbook support 😞

'Due to regulatory restrictions in your country, unfortunately we cannot accept you as a client for AutoTrade (we plan to support US clients in the future).'

Today was looking at the Auto traders. I looked at all the Brokers, picked one and signed up 'IC Markets' but now I can't find it in the list. Only Armada....................... what have I missed?

@Staff
Please include the OPTION to 'NOT-copy' TP & SL in Autotrade.

Many times trades hit stops of client, while the provider still has the trade OPEN. This option will protect from inconsitancies, and broker spikes/temporary spread increases (like pre & post weekend spreads).

Thanks.

Is it possible to reset your account balance of an autotrade demo account to a certain amount and start all over again?
I've looked and found no way to achieve this. Probably it is not possible but it would be a nice feature to have.
Anyone?

Fixed.

Hi Ethan. I've been keeping quiet about all the problems I've been having as I assumed you guys are well aware of them. Now that you've said this one issue at least is fixed, I figured I should mention that nothing seems 'fixed' to me.

First, when I go to https://www.myfxbook.com/autotrade, I just get 'Please wait while we're loading live data...'. It's been like this since last week every time I've tried. Similarly, my AutoTrade demo page has said 'The AutoTrade system is currently undergoing maintenance. Please try again in a few moments.' all that time, and then has gone to the same 'Please wait while we're loading live data...' message after that.

Finally, viewing my AutoTrade demo page through the Portfolio dropdown (https://www.myfxbook.com/members/beren/fxgrowthbot/529773) shows me that my account was last updated Jun 01 at 03:35. I assume speeding this back up wasn't part of what you guys just fixed, but I thought I'd mention it anyway, just in case.

Thanks for all your hard work on everything,
- Andrew.

Very scary results today for anyone who's been following FxConstGrowth, this strategy claims that no strategy is opened with more than 0.01 lots except 2 strategies are allowed to open 0.02 lots (out of the 43 strategies this provider trades in his model portfolio). Today 1 trade was closed in my Demo autotrade account for 0.03 lots for negative 1708.2 pips (losing $581 on a $3,000 account). Another trade was closed for negative 1614 pips (at 0.02 lots) (I am following this stategy at 1 times multiplier, so don't understand why in my account the lot sizes are larger??? I have never seen a Money Manager or EA allow trades to go into such huge drawdowns. Also according to the history tab on the provider shown here:
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/autotrade/fxconstgrwth/783184 (both the trades had stop loss of 300 pips, so how did both end up going way past that Stop Loss?? A third also closed at negative 376 pips.

Question does this mean the mirroring from autotrade to followers accounts is faulty? Or is the broker being using by the provider faulty in not honoring those SLs and therefore this puts at risk anyone follow the signal. I am certainly rethinking following any of these signals with real money, so glad I didn't start following anyone when I funded my account a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately... In such exceptionnal movement on Forex... any fx retail brokers can't do anyting on CHF trades.
Have a look to any CHF pair

By the way this strategy is really good as equity curve is always above growth.

No one can predict such move... due to SNB here for example.
Jan 15, 2015 at 13:05
yes I just checked out the USD CHF Chart not a pair I normally trade manually and wow what a drop, now I understand that SL weren't honored the moven't was so fast, on my IC markets live account chart I see the price spiked to 0.06571 from 0.82919 in the space of 1 single 1 minute candle (if I had been trading my IC markets Myfxbook account live I suspect I would have blown the account i.e. $2,500 (so glad I hadn't started to follow anyone). 14 minutes prior it was trading at 1.02117. It still doesn't answer the questions as two why the lot was larger than the account I am following if following at 1:1. Do you have to adjust for the leverage on your account, mine is demo which I believe is 1:500 and the account follow is 1:200 therefore do I have to manually adjust the multiplier for each strategy I am following based on the differences on the leverage between my account and the account following? Anyone know?

Yes I thought this strategy was good as usually equity above balance which is very unusual to sustain over a long period of time. Others ones I am demoing and looking to go live are Ambush, Portfolio (although hasn't traded since Dec 17th). I am continuing to monitor Vantage and Lucky Pound which both look riskier so want to monitor for longer period. Anyone got suggestions what ones they are following with good results, and strategies they are following they are comfortable with. Crazytrader are you folllowing any?
