How to activate an EA

Hi all,
I am more of an investor by nature, but I do try trading. Recently I have set up an EA but simply cannot make it work! I put it on the EUR/USD trade. The EA is added on the chart, yet no trades are taking place. Am I missing something?
I would appreciate it if you could help me out :)

Make sure that you press the "Expert Advisor" button on your trading platform. After your EA being activated then you should see a smiling face on right top corner on your chart.
In your EA common setting tab, you need to check the checkbox for live trading.

thanks SIM. Worked :) ...5 trades, 4 wins, 1 open :) (yes, it is a scalper, low profits but many trades). I will look to publish the account to show the performance of the account if it starts doing well. One thing I still have to see is how it performance once the trend is broken and things go down and not up.
