Bad day to be a cow...

The Yen drove us to close everything at just under a 5% loss. We are probably down around 4% for the month. We didn't expect the Yen to strengthen so quickly. We will keep the Yen pairs off for the foreseeable future and continue trading.

I still couldn't figure out your strategy of going long against JPY so rigid while it was completely against the trend... even going for high and higher lots. This smells like a kind of martingale strategy to me which I didn't like it. And honestly it was not expected at all based your conservative trades history.
Any comments on your JPY trades?

Frankly saying I was so serious of getting on your board, but those trades made me hold on and wait lil bit longer.
I wish you could have some limit for number of open trades.

Our objective it to look for reversals in the market. Every time a currency moves strong in one direction it usually bounces and has some sort of retracement. It is really easy to look at the extraordinary yen movement and say "why did you look for a retracement when the price was moving against you".

After the fact it is easy to say this or that should have been done, but in the moment, there was no major news why the yen should have dropped so sharply, so we continued with our strategy.

We have been trading this way for all of 2016 and never had a major loss. This was our first "major" loss and it was for less than 5%. So I think we need to keep things in perspective.

We are a mixture of manual and automated trading. We have an EA that starts placing trades when there is a high probability of a price reversal, but we control many things manually.

Excellent growth dynamics, but unfortunately, as it probably is sometimes maliciously, only for publication - here on March 1

There is nothing malicious about good risk management. I'm not sure what your point is.

Nothing is malicious . On March 1 was the Lot 1:00 .It means 8 times 435 pips .

As of now we are still fighting to recover from the Yen loss we had earlier this month. We are currently down 2.5% for the month, however I think we can finish out the month positive.

We just closed our CADCHF trades for a nice profit. It took a while for oil to bounce, but it finally did.
