I'm with the skeptics here on this one. EA is dead and probably will not come back to life any time soon. I've tried to optimize the power edition several times and still I have had no luck.

Something fundamental has changed with EURUSD -- no more reliable breakout activity on M15 or M30 time frames -- and we cannot hope forever that that reliable breakouts will come back on this pair. BTW, the EA is a backtest failure on other correlated dollar pairs because those pairs do not give reliable breakouts, and now EURUSD has joined them.

Maybe an EA, to be evaluated as robust, needs to be able to perform at least decently (if not equally) in backtests on correlated pairs. Maybe because this EA was a complete failure on correlated pairs hints to its Achilles heel all along.

Guys, I heard from someone saying its not the problem with the EA itself. Its because its such high profile in the industry and it was making good money that the company who leases MT4 to all the brokers was the one who put in new coding in the MT4 to disrupted the performance of the EA. Unless the EA is being rewritten with the vendor by know what new code they did to MT4, no matter how we optimize it will not work like before. Let me know what all of your thoughts on this. Think about it, the company who created MT4 who makes their money from licensing the platform to brokers will only have the best interest of the brokers and not the traders. They make money from the brokers not us so if the brokers are losing money of the of the EA that has been working so well, it out to be take it down so that they can keep making money form the traders.

@fxdome; unfortunately that is not the case.

the EA is dead. EAs have lifecycles; from being born, to flourishing, to dying.

this EA has gone through all of the above. Let it go

agree with scalptastic ... it's an EA cycle. EURUSD has significantly changed overtime. FGB uses same strategy ( price breaks on M15 timeframe) which doesn't work on this pair any more.

If it is due to market conditions changes then if base on what you said then the EA will eventually come back to life when the market change its cycle again.

it may comeback after a major drawdown and after your account is drained of cash; then what is the point.

At the time it comes back (if it ever will); you will be begging your aunt for cash loans.

the cycle can be 2-3 years :) I wouldn't have patience to wait for it.

EURUSD has changed because composition of the people who trade this pair have changed.

@scalptastic I don`t think so. I know my risk on every trade. It`s less than 1%. And I know my Stop level where I turn off my EA.
