Hi All,

A quick chime in about Funnel Trader.

I bar none feel Funnel Trader is one of the most stable EAs available. I have been running this product since the early days of it being released.

On live accounts I can fully confirm closely matched trades to the live published results made available by the EA creator Lance. This is not a trade copier as it functions independently from Lance's account, but you can see the same overall pattern of trades.

I would recommend starting with an account of 5K or more, and just be sure to follow the lot guidelines outlined in the manual, and with my experience I see no reason Funnel Trader will not deliver safe and stable profits for years to come.

May use some other EAs, and generate profits, but as time goes on I find myself rolling those profits into Funnel Trader, because I feel it is the safest place to park my money.

There are plenty of products that can blast out massive profits in a short time, but also lose them just as quickly. Funnel Trader is the tortoise is this race, and we all know, with a little patience, and compounding over time, this is how we all can eventually retire.

To that end, I highly recommend this product. And of course, Lance's support is excellent, and has always gotten back to me in a timely manner.

Sure.... this account uses 1.6x risk level settings currently. Unfortunately an older account from last year is no longer available to show more history. This account starts in March.

Yes, but within reason. Starting from the 100K settings I have a spreadsheet to adjust the lot size depending on the account size, and a multiplier value. Minus the Max Lot value, the lot size growth is the same for each progression. The 3K to 30K (when at 25K balance), 50K, and 100K, the lot risk vs balance is the same. So the config for the 3K to 30K has a start lot of 0.01. When the balance is 25K, you have the same risk as the 50K config, again, minus the max lot.

With a balance of $12.5K we are essentially running at twice the risk as a $25K balance, since is the same config. In looking at Lance's published account, since the beginning of the year his account was approx 10K, and at about $11.5K, where it has had only 6.32% DD (I think really closer to 10% from what I remember seeing). Similarly when the account was at ~6K, it was ~4x the risk of a $25K account, and 2x the risk of a ~$12k account. If we look at the max DD of the published account, it certainly came when the account was at its lowest levels... $5-7K.... and had a max DD of 34.46%. So historically, at the 2x risk, we would be looking at ~15% DD.

At this time, with Lance's $11.5K account, it is running in ~2x risk as compared to the base 25K account, that continues the same for a $50K and $100K account... again, minus the max lot value.

In looking historically at the published account, with a very low DD at the ~2x risk level (I saw it reach 10-12% DD since the new year) with the current balance of $11.5K balance as compared to $25K base risk level, I decided on a risk level of 1.5x with acceptable DD and available leverage, with hope of about 3% monthly growth for my larger long term account, and 2x risk for my lower balance short term account, hoping for ~4% per month.

At 1.5x risk in relation to the $100K settings, for an actual $50K account, it will have lot sizes equal to $75K, giving a start lot of 0.03. On my short term account, which is at $70K, I am using 2x risk multiplier, equivalent risk of a $140K account, giving me a start lot of 0.05 (between $62.5K and $75K), with a balance increment value of $12.5K. So when my account reaches $75K I will change the settings to follow the pattern with a start lot of 0.06.

Have attached the lots_tracker.xlsx for those interested. On the far right is the 100K baseline... leave that alone. There are two values in red.... your account balance, and the risk multiplier. These should be the only two values requiring changes depending on your account balance and risk. In light blue are the values you will enter in your config. In green is the account balance vs lot step... Step 1 means start lot of 0.01, Step 2 means start lot of 0.02, etc etc. There is the Equiv Risk balance value, and Per 0.01 Start Lot value on the top right. In doing the math do not go above 2x risk for account of leverage 1:50, or you could exhaust your margin in times of max DD/max lot. As your account grows you can adjust your settings to allow compounding to take place, with the same risk level.

Feel free to personal message me with any specific questions. It goes without saying... these are just my personal settings I have chosen. Please use your own careful judgement.

Thank you for this! Definitely will look into the spreadsheet. It will help a lot. I'd love to be running a 300k account with this as 3% a month I believe is safe expectation, based on historical use of the system. Time to start saving up...
I am blessed to have a broker that allows me to use credit card deposits so I only have to keep a minimum in my account to run funnel. In the rare event it goes into larger dd, i deposit more money. The most I ever needed at standard settings was 4000 and this is running it since about august of last year! I keep a small balance just in case an event like the October gbp flash crash happens. I am prepared to add up to 20k but at standard settings, I don't ever see this happening. I'd like to boost the settings now but keep the risk low.
Thanks again

Yeah... at 3% a month it is slow and steady, but lends to predictability and smooth growth. Less heartburn compared to other systems. As you say, usually DD is under control, with occasional moments of extra DD, and in your case, a little extra deposit needed. It is a good plan if you can watch closely and deposit money if needed. Since it trades in a basket, anyone large pair move seems to be sufficiently absorbed by the other 4 pairs to keep DD low enough.

Take a look at those stats you pasted above here: there is a big gap between March, the 31st and April, the 26th. It should be some kind of error, but not little at all. I suggest you to fix it, so we can have an idea. On the contrary, this stat is useless.

Thanks in advance.

There is no gap, and no error... just look at the history. The trades during that window were open for several weeks as it worked through the drawdown period. Everything there is accurate. Please do not make assertions until you review everything. You will virtually the same activity in the published Funnel Trader account.

In that period the master account shows a 14% DD: can you explain me about your account DD?

Lower risk setting. As described, the funnel trader risk in relation to general settings to balance is about 2x. At that time I was running 1.5x. So 14% compared to my 11% DD relates directly to my risk/lot size vs balance. 14 * 0.75 [1.5/2.0] = 10.5, which is about my 11%.

Take a look at mine of you want. It's a little dramatic because I keep my balance low (scared of flash crashes like GBP in October)

I have the same results so I can attest to the vendors account and todompolls being 100% accurate. As far as the DD in March, we got lucky with the EU election putting us back on top. If it went the other way, we might still be in it so there is no 100% safe system. If it was easy, everyone would.... You get the idea. However, this system does an excellent job and definitely better than any other on the market. Im going to be trusting it with my savings.

Holy cannoli Ryan. 22+% per month! Nicely done your work to top up in DD periods. Excellent job of working the strengths of Funnel Trader and keeping your account moving along.

May need to do something like that with a small account on the side. ;-)

Thanks a ton for sharing your account information.

Like you said, just need to monitor it daily. I day trade as well so if I know there is major volitility in the market, time to add more funds!

The lot escalation is not martingale. It has a calculated progression.

My configuration will actually use less level, as my max lot vs balance is currently lower than the published system. Though that will change as the published account grows, and the configuration is left alone, where I will modify my configuration to match my balance.

Whatever name you put on it. When you increase lot size when equity increase is MARTINGALE.It is as simple as that.
Smart, progressive, escalation, whateever you call it is is account wiper.
Moreover yours is quite aggressive.

I am not here to explain the system or defend the system, as I am not the developer. I can only speak for my experience, and confirm my trades compared to the published system, and talk a little a bit about how I decide to use it.

'When you increase lot size when equity increase is MARTINGALE.It is as simple as that.'....sorry... that makes little sense. If ones account equity doubles such as from 5K to 10K, and the risk is the same, because the lot size used is double, say from 0.1 to 0.2, that has nothing to do with Martingale.

Not sure what you mean by 'aggressive'. I am happy with my equity curve vs DD ratio, and with my DD generally
< 3%, and max ~11%, others can decide if this system is for them or not. Clearly not of interest to you, as I can only assume you have not purchased it to experience how it trades.

To your quote.... 'I like what I trade, I trade what I like'...you don't like it, so don't trade it, but don't comment out of turn if you don't know. As I do not think you are being constructive, this is the last I will reply to your comments.
