I am using a MT4 Platform to trade Dukascopy Jforex through a Bridge.

Benefit:

FXOPEN offers Fixed Spreads and ECN. I prefer to use FXOPEN Fixed Spreads with a IB rebate company for 2 reasons.

1. A Fixed spread = higher spread. Therefore, If I can close a Trade out at Break Even or just a few pips, Dukascopy raw prices will provide far more profits at the end of each trading session. The Difference can be 1.5 to 2 pips Extra Profit PER TRADE.

2. Paying a Fixed and HIGH Spread, also enables me to receive a generous Monthly Rebate Check.

Real Account. I will make a withdraw in a few more weeks.

I have also made the History Public. Enjoy. Most positions are fast scalps, while some 40+ pip moves are from trading news releases.

I do not trade out of greed, nor am I playing around.
180 Scalps = 900+ pips == Accuracy.

I take a loss whenever needed. I preserve my margin, which allows me to execute when I see the next opportunity.

I do not use a Hope and Hold Strategy, nor I am trying to create some perfect statistical system.

Most traders fail to make a profit, consequently ruining the positive feedback that one should acquire from displaying good trading results. And, as soon as the word 'MANAGED' hits peoples lips, everyone assumes a different style of trading should be implemented.

Pretty sure that Will stated in his initial post that this was a feeder account for Dukascopy via a bridge which is something I do myself. So we don't know how much he's trading on the Dukascopy side of the bridge.

Thanks Victor..

I haven't been trading much lately, but its still growing daily and consistency is the key to success!

Bridge Advantage.. Today before Lond close, i've experienced 6 requotes with fxopen. Closing profitable trades and trying to open new positions. Luckily with the Dukascopy Bridge, the trades still go through because the bridge reads the log file and does not wait for for an actual trade to Open. Unfortunately, trade copiers do not function in this same way (most trade copiers anyones.) And zipsignals EA has this issue too. And from my experience, brokers that say 'no requotes, just delay your execution so its pretty much the same thing. I havent been using my trading scripts lately, so it looks like the Hot keys will be setup before the market opens after the weekend.

Ohh I had requotes on Nord FX too..

Dukascopy still pleases me daily :-)

I do remember coming across a youtube video of a trader that did not receive his profits until months after the fact.. The information circulated so much that fxopen finally paid the trader. Fxopen also lost their license to operate months back. I've posted this information on their website several times, and they kept hiding the threads. After about 5 times of posting this info, they finally responded and said their still going to operate and the license will only affect US citizens. It sounds like bs to me.

In my opinion, if a broker uses MT4, its a bucket shop. I've had some heated conversations on this subject but I'll still stand by my words. The whole concept of a Broker Plugin offered by Metaquotes should be enough to convince people. But many still try to argue. The fact is, 99% traders fail to make a profit and they have never had an opportunity to pull profits out. If you read up on some NEWS traders, you will see the truth behind brokers. If you make $$, brokers will play games with you.

The list of Metatrader brokers goes on and on......

I'd stick to brokers that charge a commission for their liquidity access. 😑

but thanks for sharing! FPA is a SCAM SHOP. so I would not trust anything from that site.

very true . FOREX PEACE ARMY are nothing but CROOKS ! my encounter with prime4x few months back opened my eyes to this ! i wouldnt say much on this because some ignorant human might want to start an arguement but. i'd probably switch to using the dukas bridge if i understand it enough to work with my EAs. bt for now. i'd just stick to the 'reliable' mt4 brokers.

100% agreed. I feel the same way.
Heres the link for Duka Bridge: it comes with detailed instructions and you can test it on demo.. The whole setup takes about 5-10 minutes (rdownload, read, install, hookup, etc)

Share some of your Mt4 Brokers, if you don't mind.
I've used FXCM BA MT4 and It just made me realize that even some of the biggest brokers are crooks. (Broker Plugin, Off Quotes, Stop loss and TP pulled from client side, Not honored TP or SL. , It was Hell,) Yeah, I'm not happy with MT4 to say the least. But, there still seams to be some decent brokers that Only Offer MT4.

Will , thanks for the link. i'd check it out ASAP. after you replied my message . i went to dukas website and tried to chat with thier skype personnel . he just said hello and ignored all m y questions concerning the bridge . so i quit asking anymore questions.
now about reliable brokers. so far FXCBS has been good to me. this suggestion is based on MY dealings with them so i stand to be corrected. i wouldnt rate thier service very good but i'd say good. thier platform doesnt work well with my EA so i carry out only manual trades there. i heard activtrades is good too. and thats it.

Victor, the bridge is independent of Dukascopy and while I know they are aware it exists I'm guessing they can neither support it or provide details of it.

Best to contact the author via the source forge page or his email address ( which you can get within the body of the program ).

Last Friday I was monitoring Arbatov's trading activity. I spotted out his DD, confirmed what direction his position was going and confirmed his entry on the charts. He was Long GJ, before the Bernanke speech... He had a nice 100+ pip DD, added another position and held... Once he Closed out his Long for Profit, his exit was close to a level that I was watching. So I went short once he closed his LONG. Big mistake. London session closed by this time, and after Bernanke confirmed he will drive the Dollar to the ground by buying more T Bills, I knew I was S.O.L. on the GJ Short.

I checked the charts before NY session closed, and I was going to close my losses before the weekend because I knew there would be a Gap and NOT in my favor. Unfortunately, I missed the dead line by 6 minutes (FXOPEN Servers) And I had to wake up Sunday to manage my losing positions. I read some news, Noticed Nikkei Gapped up, ASX as well, And I knew I was in for a treat.

After a nice rally all the way through Nikkei's first session, I was not looking so hot on the margin and I had to deposit more funds for safety and To add another Large position. Once, Nikkei's first session closed, the market stalled for an hour giving me time to study the charts and plan for my escape. 15 Minutes before Nikkei reopened, GJ was sitting at a confirmed Supply zone, and it was time to recoup my losses. YEN strength entered the market 1 last time, allowing me to get a nice 50+ pips. This was enough to allow me to close all my positions and end my trading session.

Luckily this endeavor was only on this account and I turned off the Duka Bridge before Friday's trading session. (News Trading is Risky)

In the end, diversifying your funds is mandatory. You should divide your accounts based on goals and risk levels. Remember, you should only risk, what you can afford to lose. I can not afford to lose all my funds, moreover I diversify into several accounts. Each account has a specific risk level. Some accounts are only traded a few times a week. Some accounts are for long term Monthly chart swings, some are scalping accounts (primary) and some are news trading accounts(This account is scalping and News trading)

Each broker has their own disadvantages and advantages, so to say the least, each account(broker) should be designed specifically for the trading activity that you have in mind.

I'm transferring the profits from this account and I will resume .1 Lot Scalping positions as my Normal routine.

Thank you Dinxdinx.
Your Results look impressive as well.
I don't use indicators. Just s/r levels and 100,000 hours of screen time. I wish I knew of an indicator that could generate your results in the long run. Good luck with your trading as well. Welcome to the Fxbook community.
