Dear Mr. Peter Lamshed,
How can I copy your trading? Is it possible to copy the opening of your positions and the closings and the TP and SL too? What is the price of the copy? I have my ECN account in the PrioFX.
Best Regards

I feel sorry for you and share your experience I also have this EA and if you do in the meantime what I do see message below to Fury EA (asking for a version upgrade) then you will in the future prevent these type of losses.

Fury EA Support
I am using your EA for some months already and realized that if there is Forex News alerts around or in the trading hour (https://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php) the result is 95% a loosing trade. Therefore I switch the EA off (not to trade that day) and with that prevent this devastating loosing trades. I also use the currency pair NZDUSD which is actually out performing GBPUSD up to date. My request is to ask you EA programmer/s to program a new version to prevent the EA from trading during these specific Forex News hours. For reference compare your account loosing trades with the Forex News alerts over the passed months and you will see why I would appreciate a new version with this capability.
Hope to receive a positive reply.

Hi Rinus,

Thank you for your email, it was very kind of you.

I do have a couple of questions though if you could take the time to answer them.
Firstly I didn't think Forex Fury worked on any other currency. Have you been trading NZDUSD for long?
Secondly, do the news alerts have to be about that currency pair only or is it all currency pair news alerts during the trading hour?

I look forward to hearing from you,

Cheers, Pete

Fury works with all currency pairs I have tested them all and the most consistent profit was with NZDUSD and GBPUSD however NZDUSD shows to be more profitable. I use these two pairs on my live account and just change the EA settings 'Riskpercyclepersentage' to 10 and 'Friday' to false because to me this is taking a change with market closing and trading hour very close to market ending but this for you to decide. Then any news in and close to the trading hour does not matter what type of currency there will be a disturbance I switch the EA off for that day or trading hour because it is better to have no trades then a loss or a possible win. But see for yourself by comparing Fury demo account losing trades over the total period with the Forex calendar to proof my strategy. You will obviously have less trades but some days you will have a NZDUSD trade where GBPUSD did not trade that day and it somehow makeup following this safe trading method. My broker is Tickmill.
Hope this will help.

HI Pete

Like you I am following FOREX ROBOT NATION.

I just feel forexfury is not worth an Expert Advisor. Such heavy losses is not worth. Like you even I lost all my profits.

I prefer you try FOREX STEAM. I like that. I had 14 winning trades with it.

I really want system to grow my account cautiously and slowly. I have bought two more EA and combining Steam with two of those I am sure I will make good profit.

DO get in touch with me more update. By sharing ideas we all can grow.

Thanks

Rinus, thanks so much!

I have found that holding a position over the weekend is normally OK but in the current climate I'll take your advice.

Just one more question, have you used the recommended settings for the trading time? I wrote to Sean at Forex Fury when daylight saving ended and he told me that they do not normally change the time, that is they leave it on 23:00 to 23:59. If I was to follow the recommendation I should set the time to 22:00 to 22:59. I thought this a bit odd and would like your thoughts.

If this works and I make $100,000 then I will come to Namibia and buy you dinner!

Also have you been following Robot Trading Nation?

Glad to have met you and keep in touch Rinus,

Pete

I have changed my time when daylight savings time had changed but also realized during this period that Sean had not adjust their daylight savings time on their Fury trades (coincidentally using same broker Tickmill) The trades on the new time ( 22:00 to 22:59) was less successful even some losing trades while the account that kept the same time had winning trades. I then changed my time back to the 23:00 to 23:59 ever since. So my recommendation is keep the time as is.
I receive mail of adverts from FOREX ROBOT NATION and that is how I learned about Fury which I am testing since June 2015. I think this EA has the potential of making money but as the EA program currently operates it is definitely not set and forget. My test accounts all has a nice buildup and then this huge losses (test accounts run on set and forget no intervention) therefore such account will never build to a nice $ 100000 account and that is how I realized that most of the losses directly correlates to market new. Meaning no market news 95% winnings. The other reason for setting my 'Riskpercyclepersentage' to 10 is to avoid this huge losses and rather take a smaller profit because the EA anyway trades frequently enough.

Yes hope you make your $100000 then we can meet, will follow your trades.
Keep in tough

Just a correction on time of trading 23:00 to 23:59 I mentioned same broker which actually meant same broker time.
Just for interest last night Thu Jan 21 with no market news close or into trading hour I had double trades on both NZDUSD & GBPUSD

Rinus - Thanks a lot for your intervention! All these info are quite useful... Do i use the same timing for NZDUSD pair? (23:00 to 23:59)
And one more thing.. There are important news on a daily basis. On what kind of news do you usually turn off your Forex fury ?

Thanks in advance!

Pete

NZDUSD uses the same time slot (23:00 to 23:59). Most of the impact news are during the London and NY sessions therefor no problem for our trading time because the market have mostly settled when our EA trades. It is just in and close to our trading hour that you should be aware of as explained earlier. I have made-up a spreadsheet of news that caused losses it is normally your High to Medium Impact news (red and orange) on or around but mostly on the trading hour that are problematic. Below is a copy of some news mostly causing losses.
This week was a bad week I only switch on the EA on Thursday the other day as you can see https://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php was news on the hour that contributed to the losses in the Fury accounts. Pete please do think this is a waterproof approach but for me it made sense up to now . My live account has a positive balance and the demos are negative with this weeks losses.
Maybe with your Live/Real account on the website of Fury I think you would probability have more leverage than me to ask for a program update that enable the EA to block (not open positions) if high news or known loosing news alerts is present. These news alerts is reoccurring some more frequent than the other. Currently one have to check in advance to switch of the EA in time not to trade that day which is inconvenient with a system that is marketed as set and forget.

Okay cheers Pete I going to have a beer now, below is my list of problem news

Hi Rinus,

What you say makes sense however some of these announcements are specific to the NZD and if someone was trading a different currency pair then they would have to avoid different announcements. This would make programming a problem I would think.

But I will try and see what they say. I have not heard back from Sean but I can also contact Patrick at FRN.

Pete

Hi again Rinus,

I have been thinking about what would be best and I have come up with a plan.

I think it would be better to trial your idea first. This would mean I would turn the MyFXbook account back on and run the trades as per your plan. At the end of the month we could compare the results and I would then have some proof to show them at Forex Fury. Obviously everyone will be able to see the results and I am sure there are many people watching!
In the mean time we could both be trading the two currency pairs as I have two other accounts not on the myfxbook.

To do this we will need to work out which currency pair to trade on which day and when to turn them off. We can work this out with Forex Factory and I think we should do it for the month ahead starting this Monday. I have changed all my time frames to the market watch time to synchronise with the 23:00 trading time so we are both on the same page when talking times.

The other problem we may have is the Chinese stock market problems as they do seem to have an effect on the market.

I do have one issue regarding the losses, one of my loss days was Wednesday 13th January and there were no announcements as far as I can see. I would like your thoughts on this.

Cheers, Pete

The loss day Wednesday 13th January you will get them this is the ±5% probability which I refer to where big swings occur and something happened in the market without a pre-notice of a news alert. 13th January 23:00 Obviously something happened in the market at that time because the trades hit there stoploss still in the trading hour. All my accounts had that same loss however if you go back on loss trades history these loosing trades without any news alert occur, but they are not many. Taking just Fury loosing trades inconsideration 95% is when news alerts is on or very close to our trading hour.
Regarding the NZD I would like to share my spreadsheet info with you but not on this forum. We need to find a way to get one-another email contacts. However NZD is one of the currencies that occurs most frequently during our trading hour which very frequently has a direct impact on the GBPUSD pair but this proof is in the spreadsheet. Anyway any High to Medium Impact news alert during our trading hour should raise a flag of caution but again the are a lot of trading days without news alerts which makes Fury profitable due to its frequent trading ability.

Okay Pete its Saturday, I'm on my way out for a golf game.

Cheers for now
Rinus

Pete, i am not a coder, but i don't think linking Fury EA to a Market calendar should be that hard!

Rinus, thanks again for your input - Appreciate it! :)

Hi Rinus,

Thanks for that! I still can't quite understand how you are arriving at these decision though, as I had a good look at the announcements and I thought it looked good for both pairs yesterday.

You may have noticed they have taken my account off the Forex Fury website!

Anyway thanks again.
