We want to make sure that our clients make money with our systems and when there is a problem, we are always ready to help. According to the provided information from you, the basket was to close at 1.5458..

Why the basket was not closed I cannot tell you. Perhaps it would have been a good idea to contact our support and analyze what happend before deciding that it's the fault of the EA without knowing what actually happend.

I also would like to mention that the published stats are as transparent as only possible. All data are public and the information is updated every few minutes.

Furthermore, please note that every trading method includes risk. If you take a look to the PowerFlow back test and forward trading results, you can see that the EA can handle even very difficult market conditions. Plus, the 'Max DD' feature allows the user to specify when the EA should close all positions in case something goes wrong.

Best Regards,
Alexander

Well thanks for your reply... Alex if EA opens a position with 132 lots to recover its losses...you cant say this is anything else than the EA.You are telling us your data is transparent right? Where is this shocking trade ( GBPUSD ) in one of your charts? As I mentioned, my account is twice as big as yours and my risk is half than yours.

I do understand that there could be a lot of reasons that caused this problem, but fact is the risk management is not well managed.Multiplying trades by X1.6 that are going against the trend is not a logic, is just the game of luck that the pair turns. If Power flow would stop opening positions as soon it goes against the trend and wait longer or just decrease the multiplication this would not happen to me. As I mention before..opening 132 lots to simply overcome the trend is suicide and an experience trader like you should know this. My trades went -415 pips against the trend and nothing stopped the EA to manage this in a more effective way.

An EA is a piece of software that places trades according to it's logic and settings. If you use settings that tell the EA to open 132 lots on your demo account, than this is what the EA will do. (On a live account it would not do that because auto execution is usually limited to 100 lots)
According to your screenshot, the basket was to close on L1 and L4. The question “Why it was not closed?” I cannot answer. Perhaps it would have helped to contact our support desk with detailed information instead of starting to blame the EA and Forex21 on a public forum. I would suggest that you take a look to the journal and contact us through e-mail if you find there any error messages which belong to the EA. If not, you will need to get in touch with your broker, analyze the price feed and check if your Terminal was connected to the broker server when the basket was to close.

To your other questions:

You are telling us your data is transparent right?
Yes, all information is visible, the account(s) are fully verified and all data are updated every few minutes.

Where is this shocking trade ( GBPUSD ) in one of your charts?
We had a similar basket and it was closed when the TP level was reached. Why no further long trades where opened I explained in my last post.

Alexander

My Account is a Live account Alex

And I don't understand when you say I set the EA to open 132 lots...All this happened automatically ..my starting lots were 0.2. All what I said is why this EA does not stop open trades if it goes against the trend? I'm not here to blame you or Powerflow, but I can see where the problem is and this could happen again. I'm sure a public portal is the place to talk about this because if this a bug or problem, people should stop trading or at least be aware if their broker misses the take profit this EA will open Trades without stop.

Thanks

No matter what strategy it is, martingale will eventually blow one day or another. This is martingale and so you got your day to blow already, as did I. I will not be using this system anymore and will stick to using conventional hard stop loss and take profit with logical and sound MM.

Look, instead of providing detailed information here or through e-mail you came up with…

…”there is something wrong with Forex 21 (Alex).”
…”the published accounts are not transparent”.

Follow up messages included incorrect information about start lots and account type. And as you show ZERO interest to find out why the basket was not closed (after all you said that you lost 120 000), I doubt that you are here to get an answer of what happened on your account.

The EA itself is designed to deal with normal, difficult and very difficult market conditions. During very extreme market conditions the logic can reach it’s borders, that’s why the system comes with a max DD protection. The DD protection allows the user to specify how much he is accepting to loose in the very worst case. It is of course up to the user to use the feature, adjust it according to his personal preferences or disable it.

Again, when PowerFlow runs with enabled DD protection, it is impossible that the EA blows up an account. It can only do that when the feature is disabled. And even when it is disabled it is still very unlikely that it will happen because the EA can deal with a large range of market conditions. Anyway, a combination of high risk + disabled DD feature is of course another story.

Alexander

On of our clients started a high risk test with PowerFlow. He managed to make 87.76% profit within just two weeks. 😁

@Alexander or Andrew

Do you think it is again safe to use PowerFlow on AUDNZD?

Hi, I would suggest to use the new set files. AUDNZD is at the moment 'on hold'. But it's of course up to you. If you use the EA on AUDNZD, please make sure that keep the risk reasonable.

this is the second account you blew after finfx. I suggest you revise your AUDNZD strategy it no longer behaves how it used to. Now it moves either 300 points up or down with no immediate retracement. You should revisit the strategy and use the tickdata from July 2014 to end of July 2015 to optimize your strategy

Dear Irishmist,
we did not 'blew' any account. What happened on the account you mentioned is that we used a bit too high risk and as the result trading was stopped by the EA (max DD was reached).

Short term optimization is an option. However, you need to keep in mind that using just one year of data usually leads to curve fitting.
