WOW - I wish I'd seen this before clicking on the "Pay" button......do you think it could be a scam involving the broker Synergy? I see they offer REV Trader for free if you deposit $5000 with them. Is that $5000 you will never see again?

Anyone else get losing trades on AUDUSD dated 1/1/15? I also have open trades form today on AUDUSD. All of these trades are not showing up on REV's myfxbook so not sure what 's going on.
I would guess you have a problem with your set file or something. I would double and triple check your settings, because while I have mine shut off, I can't imagine it taking trades today by any understanding I have of the way the thing operates (doug, correct me if i'm wrong!).

ive read the article from the brit guy who decided that rev pro is not for keeps. he says that the system got lucky at start. but he does not explain how the system stayed lucky for another year with consistent profits every month. i am thinking of buying rev pro, although the 650 is not cheap. would appreciate some feedback from users that have been with doug for a while. last time i got into an ea was megadroid and we all know how that went so i am a bit hesitant. there are many aspects of rev pro that i like. most importantly doug is here commenting on his work. thank you

My simple answer to those screaming "SCAM" is I doubled what I paid for the system last month on a $10K account. As for why people think that... It's because I really can't think of any EA that's stood the test of time. The key to being the first, Doug, as you probably know is to keep at the tweaking and optimizing. I hear the guy who bought megadroid. I was one of those also. If memory serves, at least that one didn't end in tears... It simply went to sleep and stopped trading, right?

Why would you post in your disclaimer a comment saying "the typical purchaser (that's me!) does not make money using this system".

To all those reading my comments. I just bought the EA late December. I've been waiting till next week for the EA to pick up momentum and start trading to grow my balance. I will post here frequently what my results are. I am not associated with developer at all and so my opinion will be completely independent. I'm your typical purchaser who hopes to make a profit from this EA despite the REV Trader Pro website disclaimer saying "the typical purchaser does not make money with this system". Yes its true it does say that. I am going to have faith in this system that it will make me money despite the owner saying that I'm unlikely to.
Let's all have faith that it will continue to be profitable for Doug and everyone else using it.

My credit card processor REQUIRES me to put that. If I do not then they will not allow me to accept credit cards, it's that simple. I don't have a choice in the manner, disclaimer is required.

@fxtrader10 where did you find that offer? @revtraderpro maybe some undecided potential customers would feel more comfortable buing into your system when being charged a monthly license fee rather than a one off payment as this would assure that you've got an ongoing interest in keeping it updated and profitable in the long run.

@achille66 here are some charts from members using the system successfully

the last guy, Larry, also got interesting videos positively testing the system on his blog
http://www.empireambition.com/
now one could come to the conclusion that as being an affilate he obviously got an interest in testing the system positively but as he's also testing other systems negatively on his site and just didn't come across like a dishonest person when I've been in touch with him, I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt (got great advice regarding recommended settings in his final video BTW).

that jltrader guy has good arguments and after reading some of his posts, i tend to think he knows what he is talking about.
moreover, he doesn't have any vested interest in bashing an EA, as he's not selling anything. Trust doug price at your own risk.

It came from an email from one of their reps. It said:
"REV Trader PRO is a highly successful trading robot that follows a simple rule, Trade with the Trend. If the price is trending and the market hits a road bump, odds are in your favour of the trend continuing.
SynergyFX can exclusively provide this EA to you for a free 6 month trial just by opening an account and funding it with $5,000, a saving of at least $700 on the actual cost of the EA. This EA has over the past 2 years returned in excess of 100 percent of the original equity."
So it seems they just delay you spending $700 for 6 months. I actually had already purchased the EA so couldn't take up their offer.

Lets analyse his article:
Trade quotations:-
It's perfectly possible that a trade can appear to be of the same time on myfxbook but if you look at the journal tab of your MT4 platform you'll see that trades occur to the millisecond, not to the second. Myfxbook only show you to the second. So yes a different rate is highly possible.
Lot sizes:-
Yes we know Doug took extreme risks in the beginning with his account. He must have been very confident in that it had low DD and entries were accurate. I don't see how a system that has low DD cannot have 24 lots open (with leverage).
Order numbers:-
I don't know the issue is here. Many of my trades have numbers in sequence and I am with a completely different broker.
Statement at the end:-
Well Doug explained that his credit card company require this. I think I understand why - perhaps credit card companies are worried that they would be liable for any losses and thay you may sue them.
The only way for the statement on myfxbook to be false would be if the broker Synergy FX was part of an elaborate scheme to get peoples money - I find this hard to believe. Why spend so much money creating a sustainable business to then go ahead and put it all down the drain for some quick money. I don't see any reviews about Synergy being a scam.
Aside from that - another user has posted other REV Pro accounts and they ALL are profitable.
So with all this in mind - I think I am going to assume there is another motive to that guy writing his article.
I'm really excited about 2015 for this EA.

hi raviluke.
You have your REV set to high MM% ? Yes? Was wondering how you got such fantastic gain in so short a time along with a deep drawdown, seems dangerous. No doubt kinda high MM%.
don't believe 99.9% of the EA e-ads out there my friends!

That JL trader review is complete BS. There is no way to fabricate live third party verified results on MyFxBook, which is what his post is claiming. I have used rev trader for nearly one month. I must say, I started out conservative using money management at around 5% on the profitable pairs and 3% on the less profitable pairs. It did well but only yielded around $300/week gain. http://www.myfxbook.com/members/justforexreviews/1gnl-v-n013/1092495 is my chart. Over the holidays (the worst time EVER to do what I did), I decided to up my lot sizes to match Doug's account. The $6k balance I had was NOT sufficient to cover the negative floating balance and I hit margin calls two nights in a row. I am running two EAs, PowerFlow (Forex21) and Rev Trader PRO. Both were doing EXCELLENT on auto pilot with standard settings/low lots or MM. As soon as I switched to fixed lots (my own miscalculation, not Doug's fault) I nearly killed my account.
So, I am going to give this another go, starting from Sunday I'll be starting fresh with a new account, and go back to my safe default settings, and stop manually trading whatsoever. I can personally attest to the fact that Rev Trader PRO DOES work as the creator claims. In my personal experience watching it trade, it does often enter and exit at the wrong time (in my opinion) but because the TP and SL are dynamic and not fixed values, it definitely mitigates as much loss as possible while maximizing the gain potential. You can read my official review here: http://theforexmonster.com/rev-trader-pro-ea/
