Ecuador Balance of Trade
58% of the total goes for oil exports in Ecuador's which the economy heavily relies on. Additionally, fish, shrimp, and bananas are exported. Raw materials for industry (which account for 25% of total imports), capital goods for industry (19%), fuels and lubricants (17%), and consumer durables (13%) are the primary imports to the country. The United States is Ecuador's major trading partner (45% of total exports and 27% of imports). Chile, China, Peru, Colombia, and Panama are also among the other commercial partners.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD.

U.S. Pending Home Sales Surge Much More Than Expected In August
Pending home sales in the U.S. soared by far more than expected in the month of August, the National Association of Realtors revealed in a report released on Monday. NAR said its pending home sales index spiked by 4.0 percent to 74.7 in August after falling by 0.3 percent to a revised 71.8 in July. Economists had expected pending home sales to rise by 0.3 percent.
