Euro Area Markit Manufacturing PMI
The Markit Manufacturing Purchasing Manager's Index evaluates the performance of the manufacturing sector in the Euro Area and is based on a survey of 3,000 manufacturing businesses. Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, the Republic of Ireland, and Greece all have national data collected. Estimates suggest that these countries account for 90% of all manufacturing activity in the Eurozone. A total of five distinct indexes are used to calculate the Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index, which is weighted according to the following parameters: New Orders (30%), Output (25%), Employment (20%), Supplier's Delivery Times (15%), and Stock of Items Purchased (10%), with the Delivery Times index reversed so that it moves in the same direction as the other indicators. A rating of greater than 50 indicates that the manufacturing sector has expanded in the preceding month, a reading of less than 50 suggests contraction, and a reading of 50 shows no change.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Industrial Production Recovers In July
Eurozone industrial production recovered at a moderate pace in July due to the rebound in consumer and capital goods output despite tariff threats, official data showed Tuesday. Industrial production registered a monthly growth of 0.3 percent, in contrast to the 0.6 percent decrease in June, Eurostat reported. However, the rate was slightly weaker than the forecast of 0.4 percent.

German Economic Sentiment Rises In September
German economic confidence improved in September but financial market experts remained cautiously optimistic, a monthly survey conducted by the think tank ZEW showed on Tuesday. The ZEW indicator of economic confidence rose unexpectedly to 37.3 in September from 34.7 in the previous month. The score was expected to fall to 27.3.
