France Business Confidence
Businesses' perceptions of their current business state and expectations of future business circumstances are measured by Business Climate in France. In the industrial and mining industries, the survey sample includes around 4,000 companies. Using the factor analysis technique, the indicator's value is calculated. In the following step, the index is constructed in such a way that it can be used to measure present sentiment with respect to historical index values for the period 1993- 2011. It is exceptionally optimistic when the value is greater than 110, and unusually pessimistic when it is lower than 90. Neutrality is represented by the number 100.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

German Industrial Output Rebounds; Exports Fall
Germany's industrial output expanded for the first time in four months in July, while exports declined on weaker demand from the United States and China. Industrial production rose 1.3 percent month-on-month in July, data from Destatis showed Monday. The expansion reversed June's decrease of 0.1 percent, which was revised sharply from a 1.9 percent drop estimated initially.
