Machinery and transport equipment, consumer goods, agricultural products, chemicals, clothes, textiles, iron and steel, and wine are Hungary's most important exports. Manufacturing equipment, other manufactured goods, as well as fuels and electricity, are among Hungary's top import categories. The European Union is by far the country's most important trading partner, accounting for approximately 79% of its exports and 76% of its imports.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the HUF while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the HUF.
