Italy 12-Month BOT Auction
In Italy, Bonds and Treasury Bills (BOTs) are short-term securities that are offered in an open auction and have a term of 3, 6, or 12 months, or any other duration that is included in the current calendar year (also known as Flexible BOTs). The payment, which is completely determined by the discount at issue (the difference between the asset value and the price paid), is considered as anticipated for tax purposes, because the tax applicable to retail investors is applied at the time of the subscription. Rather than expressing bids in terms of price, dealers' bids in BOT auctions express them in terms of yield, in accordance with the current practice in the Euro area money market.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Private Sector Logs Strongest Growth In 16 Months
The euro area private sector expanded the most in 16 months in September driven by the acceleration in services activity growth, flash survey results published by S&P Global revealed on Tuesday. At 51.2, the HCOB composite output index climbed slightly from August's 51.0 and was above forecast of 51.1. The index posted above the 50.0 no-change mark for the ninth straight month in September.

Eurozone Industrial Production Recovers In July
Eurozone industrial production recovered at a moderate pace in July due to the rebound in consumer and capital goods output despite tariff threats, official data showed Tuesday. Industrial production registered a monthly growth of 0.3 percent, in contrast to the 0.6 percent decrease in June, Eurostat reported. However, the rate was slightly weaker than the forecast of 0.4 percent.
