Italy Industrial Production YoY
Industrial production in Italy monitors the output generated by companies operating in the industrial sector of the economy. The most important industry in the world is manufacturing, accounting for 88% of overall production. The major segments within manufacturing are products and metallurgy (account for 14% of overall manufacturing output), machinery and equipment (12%), food, beverages, and tobacco (10%), rubber and plastic items, and non-metallic products (9%), textile, clothing, and leather (8%), transport equipment (7%), and other manufacturing, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment (7%). Electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning contribute 10% of overall output, whereas mining and quarrying account for 1%.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Jobless Rate Rises Slightly
The euro area unemployment rate rose slightly in August but remained near record lows despite weaker economic activity. The jobless rate climbed marginally to 6.3 percent in August from 6.2 percent in July, Eurostat said Thursday. The rate was forecast to remain unchanged at 6.2 percent.

Eurozone Inflation Accelerates In September
Eurozone inflation accelerated in September as the decline in energy prices slowed amid rising services inflation, reinforcing the expectations that interest rates are set to remain unchanged in the near term. Eurozone Manufacturing Activity Slips Back Into Contraction
Eurozone manufacturing activity worsened in September reflecting a reduction in new orders and a sharper fall in job shedding, final purchasing managers' survey data compiled by S&P Global showed Wednesday. The HCOB manufacturing purchasing managers' index fell to 49.8 in September from 50.7 in August. The reading was above the flash estimate of 49.5.
