Macau Retail Sales YoY
According to Macau's retail sales statistics, the year-over-year change in Retail Sales compares the aggregated sales of retail products and services during a given month to the same month one year earlier. Furniture and household appliances account for 21% of total sales, followed by watches and clocks (20%), goods in department stores (15%), adult clothing (11.7%), leather goods (11.3%), cosmetics and sanitary articles, products in pharmacies (7.9%), products in groceries (7.7%), and motor vehicles and automotive fuels (6.2%).
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the MOP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the MOP.
