Singapore GDP Growth Rate QoQ
Singapore achieved independence in 1963, since then the economy has experienced fast expansion, resulting in the country having one of the world's highest GDP per capita today. The economy is primarily reliant on international trade, which includes both port activity and the export of electronic components and refined oil. The country is a leading beneficiary of foreign direct investment due to its standing as one of the world's most free, most competitive, and most business-friendly economies and is also a significant financial hub.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the SGD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the SGD.
