South Africa Foreign Exchange Reserves
Foreign Exchange Reserves in South Africa are defined as the foreign assets held or managed by the country's central bank. The reserves are made up of gold or a specific currency, depending on the case. They can also be special drawing rights and marketable securities denominated in foreign currencies, such as treasury bills, government bonds, corporate bonds and equities, and foreign currency loans.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the ZAR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the ZAR.
