Switzerland Economic Sentiment Index
CS-CFA Society Economic Sentiment Index gauges the amount of confidence that experts have in the projected economic developments over the next six months in Switzerland. A total of 350 financial and economic specialists will participate in the study. When calculating the index, the difference between the percentage share of economists who are optimistic about the development of the economy and the percentage share of economists who are pessimistic is taken into account. As a result, the ZEW index gauges confidence on a scale ranging from -100 (all analysts predict the economy to decline) to 100 (all analysts believe the economy will develop). A number of 0 implies that the scenario is neutral.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CHF while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CHF.

Switzerland Logs Weaker Growth, Trims 2026 Outlook
The Swiss economy expanded modestly in the second quarter, as estimated earlier, and higher U.S. tariffs are set to push down growth prospects, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs said Thursday. Gross domestic product grew 0.1 percent from the first quarter, unchanged from the flash estimate. Growth softened notably from 0.7 percent in the first quarter.

Swiss Central Bank Lowers Policy Rate To Zero As Expected
The Swiss National Bank reduced its policy rate to zero on Thursday as inflation turned negative and the currency strengthened further amid global trade tensions. The bank decided to lower the SNB policy rate by 0.25 percentage points to zero percent. This was the sixth consecutive reduction. The bank has reduced the key rate by 175 basis points since March 2024.

Swiss GDP Growth Accelerates In Q1
Switzerland's economic growth accelerated in the first quarter on a notable rebound in exports to the US ahead of the increase in trade tariffs, official data revealed on Monday. Gross domestic product expanded by adjusted 0.8 percent sequentially after rising 0.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, or SECO, reported.
