Switzerland Inflation Rate MoM
Housing and energy (which account for 27% of the overall weight) and healthcare (which account for 18% of the total weight) are the most important categories in the consumer price index in Switzerland. Transportation amounts to 10% of total expenditure; food and non-alcoholic beverages account for 13%, restaurants and hotels account for 7%, and recreation and culture account for 7%. In addition, miscellaneous goods and services (6%), household goods and services (4%), and clothing and footwear (3%) are included in the index. The remaining 6% of the total weight is accounted for by communication, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and education.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CHF while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CHF.
