Turkey Consumer Confidence
Consumption and saving tendencies of Turkish consumers are measured through the Consumer Behavior Survey. The survey's goal is to determine consumers' current financial situation assessments and future period expectations, as well as their spending and saving tendencies in the near future. The survey is conducted on a randomly selected sample of all adults between the ages of 15 or above who are employed in both urban and rural regions. The index is rated on a scale from 0 to 200. Consumers who have a reading above 100 are optimistic, while those who have a reading below 100 are pessimistic.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the TRY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the TRY.
