Turkey Retail Sales YoY
The Retail Sales report in Turkey is an aggregated measure of retail goods and services sales over a month to the same month the previous year.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the TRY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the TRY.

Turkish Central Bank Cuts Key Rates Sharply For Second Time
Turkey's central bank slashed its key interest rates for the second straight meeting on Thursday citing slowdown in the underlying trend of inflation. The Monetary Policy Committee of the Republic of Turkey decided to reduce the policy rate to 40.5 percent from 43.0 percent. Previously, the bank had reduced the rate by 300 basis points in July.

The Turkish central bank raised its key interest rate in a surprise move on Thursday, reversing the sharp easing cycle that began last December, and also expressed preparedness to keep the policy tight.
