3 Year Note The auction indicates the percentage yield on three 3 year US Treasury notes. Given that the yield rate might represent the state of the US government's debt, a rise in the rate may presage economic development, while a decline in the rate may signal a recession.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD.
