United States EIA Distillate Fuel Production Change
The Distillates Stocks Indicator published by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) quantifies the demand for petroleum products in the United States. This metric is connected to crude oil consumption in an indirect manner. In traditional distillation, a distillate is one of the fractions generated. Distillates comprise a variety of different forms of diesel fuel. Automobiles, railway trains, and agricultural machines run on distillate fuel.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD.

U.S. Construction Spending Unexpectedly Edges Lower In July
A report released by the Commerce Department on Tuesday showed construction spending in the U.S. unexpectedly edged slightly lower in the month of July. The Commerce Department said construction spending slipped by 0.1 percent to an annual rate of $2.139 trillion in July after falling by 0.4 to a revised rate of $2.141 trillion in June.

The University of Michigan released a report on Friday showing consumer sentiment in the U.S. deteriorated by slightly more than previously estimated in the month of August. The report said the consumer sentiment index for August was downwardly revised to 58.2 from the preliminary reading of 58.6.
