Uruguay Interest Rate Decision
After seven years of attempting to manage inflation through adjustments in the money supply, the Central Bank of Uruguay restored the monetary policy rate on September 3rd, 2020. In 2013, the central bank announced that it will no longer employ a single benchmark interest rate.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the UYU while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the UYU.
