Why Every Trader Should Keep a Forex Trading Journal (Trust Me, It Changes Eve

I agree 100%. A journal’s basically a mirror. It shows what you actually do versus what you think you do. Do you track screenshots too, or mostly stats and notes?

Nice post, this is much closer to how it really works than all the “flip 100 to 10k” stuff. Most people blow up because they chase lottery-style returns instead of thinking in years and managing risk like a business. Small, boring daily/weekly numbers compounded over time are what keep you in the game.Survive first, grow second. The market’s pretty good at punishing anyone who tries to skip that order.
Leverage in EURUSD and XAUUSD trading

Leverage is a cap, not a target. On EURUSD/XAUUSD, size the trade off your stop and keep risk tiny (≈0.5–1%). Gold gets wild around news and spreads, so dial back exposure and skip the big prints. Demo it through a few releases before you scale.

That’s hard to tell unless you’ve actually stress-tested it during high-impact releases. Most EAs behave differently when spreads widen or execution gets messy. If the dev didn’t build a news filter or volatility protection into the logic, it’s usually safer to assume it won’t handle fast moves well. Best to run it on demo through a few NFP/CPI prints to see how it really reacts.

Since OP hasn’t posted anything after this, I doubt we’re getting a reply here 😅
“Best Strategy for Small Accounts — How to Grow Safely?

I’ve noticed those weird gold spikes as well. For small accounts, keeping the risk tiny definitely makes sense. Quick question though, when you say a tight SL, do you mean placing it behind the previous wick, or using a fixed pip distance? I’m still trying to figure out what’s safest for XAUUSD.
