Ken. If I wanted to sell a scam robot, I would most likelly not tell the web, the peace army, or other users that I am a scammer. So how would you be able to find out on the web that my robot is scam?

You really think that scammers post on the web that they are scammers, and tell that to the forex peace army? :)It is very easy to determine if a robot is scam or not. You can check if real trading results of the robot are similar to historic results, or differ greatly. And you can check if the robot vendor is a real existing person or company, or just an anonymous web address. Well, the rest is up to your reason.

All commercial bots need impressively good backtests, otherwise they would not sell. So their parameters are set up to produce high profits with past price data. This is completely unrelated to their behavior in real trading.

All instruments have "problematic time periods" all the time.They are no problem for a real robot that has been developed using historic price data for working in those periods.FGB has only one problematic time period, and that was switching from the faked equity curve to real trading at the end of 2012.

How do you think the robot vendors produce all their straight upwards equity curves? Only the equity curve since November 2012 is real. The curve from the years before is most likely produced with an easy trick that's used by all vendors who want to sell a robot with a "real trading history".

Sometimes it is difficult, but not with this bot. The myfxbook page shows 3 clear evidences of cheating:- The account was opened with only $250, which hints that it's only one of many live accounts of this robot. The other accounts probably blew.- You can see from the green volume bars that it's a martingale system. The lots volume always went up after any loss.- The equity curve went relatively straight up only as long as the robot was not yet public. The right time to turn it off might be right at the start.It is very easy to program such a robot and get such an equity curve. Of course, making profit by using, not selling a robot is an entirely different matter.
