Have you tested it at live account as live is much more different than demo
Why lock open trades

Hi Peter,
You wrote that you've setup the account as per fxbook instructions, but still had trouble with the 'Trading Privileges Not Verified' segment.
If you go to this link: https://www.myfxbook.com/help and scroll down, you'll see detailed instructions on how to do this. The point to this verification is so that we all know this account belongs to you, and not someone else.
Aso, Veki's questions are still not answered. I too believe a real account running any strategy performs far differently than a demo. Slippage and liquidity all play a huge role in real accounts that simply don't exist in demos. Is the performance you're showing on a real account?
Second, many trading services that show great returns hide their loses in open trades. When a strategy's performance is based solely on closed trades that went the right way, and the big losers are kept open to hide their impact on the strategy, then you have a false sense of accomplishment. I'm not saying that's what you're doing here. But hiding the open trades serves no purpose in my opinion. You should unlock this, so that there's enough transparency for us all to feel comfortable in the results. You'll gain a lot more members this way, I can tell you that much.

Yeah I agree with posters above, why hide the OPEN TRADES?
I also had a chat with one of alonfx staff, when I asked why not displaying real account? Then he gone from chat.
If you download the Brochure from alonfx website, there is no real report from broker at all in there.
Is there anybody here having a managed account with alonfx actually? how is the result so far? would you post it here? thanks.

I opened a 10/30 managed scalper account with AlonFX last week. Although my account is slightly down compared to my initial deposit, the trades that are reflected in my account are identical to those on this myfxbook page.
if you look at the myfxbook page for the system there is an 'Equity' field which is different to the 'Balance' value. Does this not show the effect of open trades on the current balance?

Is there any huge drawdawn trades left open?

Through the PAMM account, I dont get visibility of any open trades. I'm only aware of a trade once a it closes. However given that the StopLoss is 30 pips at worst case, I wouldn't expect huge drawdown anyway.
Cheers,
Nick.
Further to my earlier statement, I have now seen differences between my PAMM account and the demo account that AlonFX publish through myfxbook. Whilst there are differences, they are not too dissimilar to cause me concern at the moment.
I do seem to have had a negative effect on their trading since I joined however, as the growth has slowed down a fair bit. 😁Obviously we need to look at a more longer term.
Cheers,
Nick.

Thanks Nick, swnke2 :) Is it possible to post your trade report?😳

hi,
We have verified trading Privileges this morning, it should turn to verified status soon.
We have enabled open positions
Stop loss is not greater than 30pips, so no open large losing trades.
Worst cyclical DD we expect is 6 losers in row. (-180pips).
System will trade more in Late USA / Asia than Europe session.
We hope to add NordMarkets ECN this week as alternative broker.

Hi Peter,
It's great to see that you've made the changes. I'm sure everyone here appreciates the transparency. Your system looks great. I for one would be glad to try it out, but I'm not sure I agree with your choice of brokers. A simple search for NordMarkets in Google show nothing but bad reviews. Is there a reason why you cannot open a relationship with a well-known broker? There are plenty of big names out there. If your system performs the way it has been, it deserves to be put on a superior broker. No one will trust their money with these little brokers who may disappear with their clients' money. Please let us know if you have plans to open with a broker which has a name that's recognizable. It doesn't have to in the leagues of e-trade or shwab, just someone we all recognize and trust.
Thanks,
P
PS. I really meant what I said about your system. It's really good.

Hi P,
Finding ECN MT4 execution broker with low spread costs, low client deposit, has MT4 MAM and accepting global client is not simple.
ATCBrokers and FXOpen ECN are another 2 candidates we are investigating.
In actual fact whilst FXCBS reputation does not preceed them, their execution is excellent. It is a pity their 'image' and branding is weak.
Watch this space.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for explaining it. I can see your point. Perhaps you can use FXCM. Here's a link to the mt4 platform option:
https://www.fxcm.com/metatrader.jsp
I have used them for many years, and I've never had any issues with withdrawals. I'm not sure if it suites all your requirements, but at the very least it has an mt4 platform, they accept global clients, and require low deposits. I don't work for them, and I don't get paid for posting this about them. I'm simply stating the fact that I've never had to worry about my funds with them. I can't speak for everyone else here, but if you had them as a broker I'd invest tomorrow.

Hi,
Whilst we agree FXCM covers nearly all the ground, the caveat is spreads. When the spread is 1-2pips higher (like FXCM V FXCBS), it can actually negate the strategy. Obviously, this is highly problematic when we can't match FXCM performance to FXCBS.
E.g
EURUSD + USDJPY in region of 0.9pip spread now in FXCBS, in FXCM 2.5 approx. EURCHF 1.7 FXCBS, almost 4 FXCM.
When a strategy like this is having small TP, every pip counts. It is fine line between success and failure.

Yeah, FXCM are very bad broker in terms of spread and MT4 reliability. Wouldn't recommend them at all. MT4 really sucks or at least sucked when I had live account there 1 year ago.
I need your money to buy more drinks and women. Secure investment.
