Is demo trading enough before real account?

I agree with mlawson71. What is the point of trying your best, testing a lot of strategies, analyzing trading styles when you really know nothing about live trading. Even if the demo trading is the first step – you have to make the next one at some stage. Even if you just put a little credit in the beginning – you have to do live trading, to feel it, to feel the stress or even to lose a small amount of your capital. What I am trying to say is to be fully prepared and sure in what you are doing when applying the skills learnt in the live trading. It is simple – test the demo, ...
US Elections

Of course, presidential races don't occur in a vacuum, and statistics based on previous elections in no way guarantee what will happen in 2016. On average, the first year of a new presidential term sees the markets rise by 6%. That's below the 7.5% average for all years (going back to 1928), but still a positive signal. If your strategy has a backup plan, I don’t see how the elections can affect your trading results. Hope that can help new or unsecure traders :) Cheers!

And there is a reason for that 😉

I vote for the variable spreads in combination with real market execution. They reflect the true pricing which is always a dynamic dimension. Better also to have the commission charged additionally, not in the spread.
The reason that new traders fail that doesn't involve psychology

There is so much information out there available for the novice traders to digest, so I think most of them just get overloaded, also with advices. Fundamental gives one perspective but does not tell you the whole story. Focusing only on one aspect can keep the unexperienced traders blind for what could make or break their strategy (if strategy exists at all at the beginning).

For me the key ingredients to professional trading are:- financial knowledge- mindset- logical thinking- analytical skills- ability to work with lots of dataNo wonder why many scientists in physics or mathematics are involved so much in the financial industry nowadays. Experience matters only after enough reflection on the outcome of the trades.

You seem to be quite experienced in controlling your emotions. Can you share some tips how you manage to do it? Maybe there are some common rules everyone can apply, especially the new traders. Cheers!
Treat Forex Trading as an yearly business

If you want to be a professional trader and get a good income from this kind of business you have to be patient indeed. To sum up your results in less than an year is wrong in so many ways indeed.I have to agree that calculating your Profits and Losses monthly or weekly is always a bad decision. At least one year is good period of time. Also you have to make researches and to observe different instruments which cannot be done for days or weeks or months. Trading is more serious than most people think and needs more time for developing your own strategy than using it afterwards.
BREXIT won't happen until 2019.

There are a lot of theories that Brexit won’t happen at all. To talk about an exact date or even year is absurd. People in UK are now realizing what will happen if they leave. There are already people who voted LEAVE that are regretting their choice. Here are 6 negative effects for the British if the UK leaves the EU : - More expensive foreign holidays for UK citizens because of the less worth of the pound- No immediate change in immigration status (one of the main reasons of the Leave voters)|- Higher inflation- Interest rates might rise- Economy recession - UK wouldn’t even get th...

Robotic Trading VS Manual Trading

If you develop your trading strategy well and test is manually, the best way will be to create your own robotic system which opens, executes and closes the orders. We all know that the EA will have an accurate time and will place the orders faster than manually. 100% robotic system will work well if tested manually before trading with live account. However there can’t be an ideal trading system because sometimes you will need to use functions like TP, SL , partial close, modifying orders, etc… which you have to set manually

One of the biggest factors why new traders fail is controlling one’s emotions. I found very reliable tips that can help you with trading non-emotionally: 1. After your analysis on the trade – set your stops and limits and NEVER adjust them. Sometimes you will be right, sometimes wrong, there is nothing in between. But keep in mind that if you start applying changes – that is a bad habit. Bad habits leads to more bad habits and the snowball gets bigger and bigger. Time to start with good habits as it would lead to other good habits.2. You need to accept the fact that there wil...
Is it legal for U.S. residents to manage PAMM accounts?

There are no PAMM accounts available in the U.S. after Dodd Frank. There are only a limited number of brokers offering PAMM services to U.S. residents. However you CAN manage a PAMM account if you are a U.S. citizen. You CAN also invest in PAMM accounts no matter where you are living (including USA)
