I am not sure that all traders, especially newbies realize all the risks. As a newbie I certainly didn't, come to think about it. Becoming aware of them was a long and often painful process.

The pair rallied just high enough to reach my TP at 0.8860😲. I still think it may continue rising, but I won't be opening any more longs for now.

I opened a long position, my TP is at 0.8860. It's possible to reach 0.8890, but I prefer not to take that risk.

Good point. I rarely do that too - my fear is, among other things - that the instrument I am trading could open with a gap in either direction. Sometimes those gaps end up pretty large.

I too gave up on that idea about opening a long. And I also waited too long and now it's late to open a short too, I think, although I also think it will fall back to 0.8740.

Someone recently advised me to make the bullish and bearish candles almost the same colour too - or even the same colour - so they wouldn't stress me out as much. I am testing that theory at the moment and I think it works, at least partially.

I still have that problem after years of trading and I haven't figured out how to fix it beyond trying to open as short-term positions as I can so I don't stay stuck to the screen all day, or, worse, all night long. 😕
