The email notification is quite strange.

'We would like to remind you that in order to participate in the contest at Myfxbook starting on 16th March, you will need to verify your account.'

Strange though ... why do I have to verify for LIVE TRADING if I only want to trade on demo in a contest? 😲

That is not really serious to me ... guess I am opting out.

Hi Folks,
Just a quick question. This is the first time I am in such a contest. I have installed the trading platform but can't see the charts yet. I am assuming it because the contest has not started yet but wanted to be sure (charts say: waiting for up-date).

Thanks and success to you all!

Cheers,

Guy.

No, you should be able to see the charts even before the contest. Your charts depend on successful internet connection, defined demo server and such things you have to do when your platform wants to login.
(I installed and inserted my username and pass, determined demo classic (contest) server and I can see charts perfectly fine).

I too am getting hassled for ID and address; for a demo account contest? Definitely not. Guess I'll skip this contest, they'll be plenty others.

FX Choice ask you to signup for a live account before you can get a demo account. I didn't have to put funds in the live account to get the demo but I had to open one.

No they don't you miss understood it , if you won then contest then you have to verify that your information are true.

they said 'Each participant will have to supply proof of identity and address documents to be verified.'

Just my opinion.

A person named ajit singh sent me that mail it was in my spam folder i just checked it.

Why should i send my documents only to participate in this contest , this never happens in forex , the people who will win the contest should send there documents to varify their accounts why all need to do this.

I am not doing this , if i win this contest than i might send my documents. Brooker need to correct its behavior.

Totally agree. I've already had a phone call asking me to send my documents. Sure if i was opening a live acc but not for demo. They need to get their practices sorted out.

Like I said, that bothers me. I will not take part if they want to force me to open a live trading account. If they were reputable, the would offer the demo contest and after that one can still open a live account if the experience was good, nothing wrong with it. But this force suggests that something might be fishy about them. No need for a good broker to force someone to already open a live account for a trading contest on demo ....

Ladies and gents, you do NOT have to sign up for a Live account to take part in the competition. FX Choice prompts you to sign up for a live account but this is optional.

FX Choice is the sponsoring broker for the competition so naturally they are going to promote their business and encourage people to sign up for a Live account.

However, you can choose to simply stick with your demo account for the competition and ignore the prompts to open a live account.
