I mentioned on another thread that some will offer raw spread which while not fixed is often very low. The key factor is looking at the balance of spreads and commissions. Normally a fixed or variable low spread broker will charge more in commission and vice versa. They have to make money from these methods so one will normally offset the other. Try and find a balance of the two.
If you can't spot the liquidity then you are the liquidity.

Great advice there. I think it's all about finding the balance that works with your trading style. At the end of the day the brokers have to make money too. I prefer a broker that is upfront with costs, no one likes hidden charges.

There are brokers that offer zero fixed spreads, though commissions might be high. But you can also go for a variable spread broker like turnkeyforex which has quite low spreads, specially on majors and commissions are also low. So your overall trading cost will be low.

Any specific reason for a fixed spread broker?
I found variable ones more appropriate as in volatile sessions I easily get spread close to 0.3 pips on both fxview and IC Markets. I don't know much about fixed spread brokers but heard that slippage is the main issue. How do you check if the price you are looking for is true or not I mean in respect to interbank rates? Also, aren't commissions too high with such?

The main income of a spread broker is that it will never make any broker free. Spread charges may be lower but Zero Spread is not provided by any broker.

Well, here you are right, although scammers may have different options in terms of conditions, I’m working with a fixed spread on the platform from Amarkets, and everything is cleared up, what broker do you have?
I have a rough idea of what kind of spread benefits a broker is offering. But in that case I think fixed spread is much better.

I don’t think any broker actually provides you with zero spread, surely not fixed spread ones. But yes, there are many of them that offer a spread that is near to zero. I trade with finprotrading and have got spreads as low as 0.2 pips with them.

Good information, as far as I know, can any broker provide zero spread.

Guess it all comes down to how liquid the market is at a particular time, but even in the most active hours I have never seen 0 spreads

Certain brokers offer zero spreads on their platform but you should take into account that prices don't always remain the same so your spreads will also change accordingly.

Without a doubt, the lowest spread brokers are the way to trade. For new traders especially, low spread and no commission brokers offer a lot of benefits.
