I'm trading for a living. Recently took a big hit but I've got other investments to fall back on. I think that's very important when trading for a living - you must have a back up plan.

LOL, you are obviously clueless. Keep barking. Connect your account and show your mettle over the long term as that Pig dude asked.
My stops are very small considering where I was aiming and what winners I did have. You are yapping your mouth without ever following my trading. Keep yapping. and please do show your live account and pips over some time... before you make yourself invisible.

This is not a point. and it is too early to say btw. I am developing skills and even 20-30% annually I would consider good results especially if I can do it consistently. I am not in this to turn $1000 into million. If you cannot read what I write you are a damn fool, period. I am here to show good risk control, returns, money management, develop as a trader to become a pro. So your comments are foolish as always. I do make pips btw. You cannot do what i do but I can do what you do btw...

 *GOOD RISK CONTROL = FAILED
 *RETURNS = SUPER FAILED
*MONEY MANAGEMENT = WORST I have ever seen (because you allow losing positions to run more then 8x the currencies MONTHLY trading range
*PRO = You have more then a long way to go. Your so far actually that I think you will lap yourself 5 times before you can call yourself a NOOB!

As for me not being able to do what you do. Your 1000% correct about that. All you do is close positions in RED. Why in the world would I want to do that. As for you trading the way I do. I would love for you to close 1 position gaining 10 points before you lose 10. If you can do that, then I will consider you a good trader. I'll even accept it if you can pull it off in demo. :)

Chikot. I have looked at your trades. They are horrible. Your avg 25 points on a win, and it isn't even 1 dollar profit. Your wasting pips. Your just sitting trying to make your stats look good, but you aren't earning anything. As for linking my account. Funds isn't a problem. I will fund yadix with 3k, and I will blow my account on the first day just for you, then redeposit 6k :) Then turn 6k into 30k in 1 week.

James, I have always been an independant trader, I only ever trade my own money. Im past retirement age now but I still like to trade. Ive earned a good living out of it albeit having my ups and downs but the way I have structured my finances I could have 12 consecutive months of losses and still be in a good financial shape. When I had very good months the extra was put away for a rainy day(make that bad months)

- How did you make the move from part time trading to fulltime?
I have been running a successful business and been trading successfully for past 36 months. I have 3 Active accounts with Oanda and have been consistently trading on them. I mostly trade during Japan Session (between 8:00 pm and 11:30 PM EST) and now with the mobile apps, I keep track of my ongoing trades and readjust them if needed during day times.

- What starting capital did you require to trade full time?
The first account was started with 5000.00 USD and I started gaining more experience I kept feeding funds to my accounts.

- Has your performance changed once you did the transition from part to fulltime?
With full-time transition, I am making as much as double the amount of Pips on my trading accounts.

- Are you happy with your decision?
I am happy with my decision and have started managed forex account business this year.

- Do you trade only your own money? Either yes or no, why?
I have been trading my own money for past 3 years, Since this year beginning, I have started trading for others as well.
Reason: More money offers more output. I make more per Pip with a larger account.

- Do you see yourself still trading fulltime in the long term?
I am actually committing myself to a full-time trading for next 3 years. I will run a managed forex account company, trade my own funds and generate enough capital for other innovative projects that I have shelf-ready.

hi
I believe trading should be part of the day about four hours near the opening exchanges
I trade it.
Sometimes my trading ends after an hour or two and sometimes a little more.
It also varies by type of strategy you are trading.
On the other hours must be something else to do.
Two. Forex trading can be a breadwinner
3. Investment portfolio of $ 10,000 can provide money to 200-500 dollars a day. Medium risk.
4. To get it to learn and practice a few years
5. Need teacher and personal trainer who is himself a dealer market day

From the many traders that i know ...with serious experience ...i think only one is trading for a living...and he has start small....and ...trading for a living was not his goal. He got very good but after a period of 8 years of part-time trading. Trading for a living is a stresfull experince when you are trading from home and not from a corporate enviroment.
You have monthly bills to pay... and the emotions will get in your way when trying to settle your trades ,take decisions, and cut loses or let the profit run high as the sky.

Trading for a living shouldn't be your goal or anyone's. In time if you think you have the neccesary skills ,experience, and history that shows you can do it..... you should take that road....otherwise....part -time trading is a more healty and pleasant experience.😄

Good Luck.!!!

It is so-so funny!! Showing an account with 10 (i.e. TEN) trades and about 4 weeks of trading history it is a really well-supported statement: 'you can make between $1,000 to $3,000 per month'.

Come on...!!!! If you could make that much you would not be touting your strategy here... Come back in 6 months!

@FxMasterGuru It has been a trend on this forum for anyone posting links offering managed account service with a limited trading history or setting unrealistic gains.

Folks, I am not trying to discourage you or let you down but as a investor, I would be expecting enough history to make me feel comfortable to invest in. It is indeed possible to make gains of $1000.00 per month on a $10,000.00 investment and I do acknowledge that I would be interested in this proposal but as I would need from you would be a historical chart with consistent gains, ability to handle drawdowns, ability to handle volatile markets etc.

Hope, you take this advice on a good note from a fellow trader.

Well said dxnation. My partner and I had that same agreement going in and with both of us experienced traders, it's a great partnership. If you look at the demo here, it's practically a mirror of the real account we have, not just a mask demo that some try to use to lure investors. Being that neither one of us were looking for investors, nor wanted to post real live accounts, it still came together beautifully, and we trade through a private trade group via skype live along with other traders with a strong desire to learn and it's so cool and a lot of fun. I trade for a living although I do have another career that I love and spend about 3-5 hours a day trading gracefully, some day's not all if nothing is there, but I make double trading what I do in my career. I'm old school, I started trading nearly 20 years ago on candles end of day charts cause that's all we had then unless you paid large fees for everything we get free today, but I learned a lot more by doing that than being hindered. Check out the profile sometime. PM me if you want to speak more.
Great weekend to all and as always happy pips!
